Gustav Klimt. The Complete Paintings

Although gold was used to colour various pages and title plaques and on the cover, yellows were used in the book where golds had been used by Klimt, and often the other printed colours seemed rather 'washed out'. In my opinion, the result is a tome containing a large collection of plates which don't seem vibrant. I suppose the price should warn one about what to expect: Thank goodness this wasn't intended to be a gift. I'd not order again from this series.

This book is really beautiful. Expensive, but I think it’s worth it if you love Klimt. The only minus is that I don’t like how pages “split” larger works of art between pages, but that can’t be help in a standard book obviously. Great quality of covers and paper. Hi ve seem comments in some reviews that certain colours like gold look a bit different but I have no complaints. This is a printed book after all.

Bought for my wife who likes his paintings. It weighs a great deal and is a beautifully produced volume, which reveals rather more of his varied style of painting than I was previously aware of. Definitely a book which will be often referred to.

ON MY LIVING ROOM TABLE(I WOULD BE CONCERNED THAT ONE MAY SPILL SOMETHING OR THE SPINE WOULD BE DAMAGED BY SOME JUST LOOKING WITH NO REAL INTEREST) THIS IS JUST ONE OF MY FAVOURITE ARTISTS A BEAUTIFUL BOOK WELL PRESENTED AND TAKES PRIDE OF PLACE WITH MY OTHER GREAT ARTISTS BOOKS ON MY SHELVES. WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Incredible quality, breadth and detail for the price. Extraordinary quality. The gold looked like gold, must have been a newer edition, and the cover looked like velum. Real value for money.

This is a large and beautiful book. A great addition to an artbook collection or even as just as a gorgeous coffee table book.

Beautiful illustrations and A3 size, massive book for the coffee table. Worth every penny.
