I ordered this to have a nice caramel kick to my coffee without the sugar of the caramel coffees on offer from the likes of Tassimo.I started out with 1 tsp (5ml) but as the serving size says 15ml, I quickly threw in a 2nd tsp and tasted, and then a 3rd as I like the taste.I think depending on your palate, you may well be happy with 1 5ml tsp, but for me, I wanted the full hit and the 15ml serving seems just right. (And as you're looking at 25 calories per 100ml, this is only about 4 calories per serving!)My initial test was with a 100ml shot of Nespresso Arpeggio and 225ml milk as a latte from the Aeroccino, all in a nice 350ml Bodum glass which I also received with my syrup order.Wow, what a result.Some folks have said this has an after taste due to the artificial sweeteners used, but for me, I though it tasted great and will be reordering once I'm through my first bottle.

Traditional coffee syrups are thick and gloopy, leaving a sticky mess on the counter cna containing a hefty hit of sugar. All in all, they could be improved. And the great folk at Sweetbird have done just that, by making a range of sugar free syrups. They taste just as great, and they do still elave a bit of a sticky mess, but being sugar free, they make me feel a bit better about putting a shot in my coffee.I did worry that the sugar free version, as with so many other things, wouldn't taste as good as the "original". I needn't have - this caramel syrup tastes just as good as the full-sugar version, and compliments a nice coffee perfectly. Buy it with the pump and you'll get evenly measured doses each time.A great way to liven up a Latte, particularly for diabetics.

Can't really taste caramel, just sweet, and that aftertaste! You'd think that, in the 21st century, we could find a sweetener which doesn't leave an aftertaste! It's not as good as one of it's rivals, which does have the aftertaste but also has a good caramel flavour.UPDATE 18/7/19 My memory is really bad and I bought this again, either my taste buds have changed or this has been improved, the caramel flavour is one of the best I’ve tasted! There’s still the aftertaste but anything sugar free does, so can’t complain about that.

I was looking for an affordable sugar free syrup to add flavouring to things like beverages, baked goods and even ice cream so happened upon Sweetbird. The flavour is an acceptable caramel, it's very versatile and there's so much of it I have really been able to spread my wings and experiment a little bit. It suits me down to the ground since I have started a ketogenic sugar free lifestyle, and I would look forward to trying more from this vendor.

Mixed reaction to this. Husband and kids didn't mind the taste although they did find they used more of it than a standard caramel sugar based syrup (hence 3 out of 5 for the quantity they are getting through makes it expensive). They liked it in hot drinks but disliked it when I used it to drizzle on a salted caramel cake with buttercream icing. Also, they were not impressed when I used as a treat to drizzle over ice cream. Such a lovely rich colour and quite a nice subtle smell, just lacked depth of flavour for us.Personally, I really disliked the after taste and found it had a lingering bitter taste - but as I am yet to find an a sugar/honey alternative that doesn't taste 'fake', or have the bitter after taste, I am probably too fussy to give a fair opinion.If you really need to avoid/cut out sugar in your diet and miss caramel flavours, then this might work for you. Personally, I am sticking with a black coffee!

i was at first, sceptical of buying the cheaper brand to the usual COSTA that i use. however, this syrup is simply perfect! it doesnt taste too sweet and gives me guilt free skinny lattes, which taste perfect every time! it adds that bit of luxury to normal instant coffee, and honestly tastes the same as spending £3 on a caramel latte in any retail coffee shop. i am blessed with this product and will certainly be purchasing more from their ranges!

The best syrop I ever tried ,2 drops and the coffee smells and tastes incredible 😋
