All functions work as described with proper set-up.
Works just as it says. Tested with Canon 85mm 1.8 USM, Canon 50 mm 1.8, and Sigma 17-50 2.8 IS. All functions work with each lens as long as I attach the lens to the adapter first, then attach to camera (as the instructions say, I messed that up at first and thought it was defective). Make sure to turn IS function on the lens off when starting up, you can engage it later, but for some reason, the in-camera IS won't work if the IS on the lens is switched on at start up. Camera did freeze a couple of times and had to remove battery to reset (coming from a Canon T3i/Magic Lantern so that wasn't a big surprise, otherwise I might have been freaked out). Build quality is excellent. All lenses snap into place securely and the adapter connects just as well to the camera body. Using with a Panasonic G85. Tested for both still and video

It works fine, with some manual interaction (focus) with certain lenses
Originally this was going to be a tough one due to mixed reviews, however we all know that mixed reviews are littered with users who either aren't conditioned in what they are playing with, or simply didn't think about trying all scenarios before rushing to their conclusion. That seems to be the case with some of these, as the adapter does work.We tried it with a number of a lenses, with a heavy focus on typical kit lenses, such as the EF-S 18-55mm IS STM & the EF-S 55-250mm IS STM lenses. These lenses worked great with the adapter with one specific thing to keep in mind: autofocus does not seem to work well with a lot of the lenses. Usually the camera would go from blurred to focused and then back to blur and lock on. This is what leads to some of these reviews talking about the adapter locking up their camera, forcing them to have to cycle power by popping the battery. The best we could guess was that the Panasonic's firmware was getting confused by how the lens was responding. Maybe a conflict in data. However, if you stick to manual focus, the adapter seems to work with every lens we had given it. You can see from the images above. The blury shot was taken with autofocus enabled on the Panasonic. Then we switched it to manual and took the shot and it looks great. So you need to have a little patience knowing that you are probably going to have to dial in every single shot to get what you want. A price to be paid for 1) using non-native lenses, and 2) not having to pay that crazy high price of the metabones adapter.Shooting in manual focus, we have yet to get it to freeze up the camera. Everything seems to be operating just fine (and we have taken plenty of shots). So manual focus for the win. Now, they do point this out in the product description. How to troubleshoot certain lenses and to stick with manual for others, and a list of lenses where auto-focus does work. So they get some brownie points there by admitting that this isn't a 100% solid solution to being able to make all of your older lenses work. The Metabones adapter isn't a perfect 5/5 either for some of the same reasons. Nothing beats a native lens, so there will always be some sacrifice. As an extra note, the adapter is nice, and feels like it has a strong build quality to it. It also has the same texture as the modern Lumix models. In the end, it turned out being a good functioning adapter for Canon lenses in manual focus scenarios (which if you are a serious photographer, you are more than likely going manual to begin with). Auto-focus will work with a few select lenses that are out there, and if you have any of them, then you are going to do quite well. It isn't perfect, but it does deliver!**If you have found our review helpful, please vote it as helpful below so I know. This helps me provide quality feedback in the future.

Good value for money.
I bought this to attach a Canon lens to a Lumix GH2 body. Yes - it fits. Very nicely made. But the fit is not so perfect as to eliminate all wobble. The slight "play" causes interruption to the electronics and then the camera screen/viewfinder displays a message to the effect that this is not a recognized piece of equipment. (I forgot the exact words.). This does not happen all the time. But when it does, I slightly decouple the Commlite ring by an 1/8th inch or so then snap it back in place. And keep on taking pix. If anyone knows a solution to this I would LOVE to hear it!

Well it worked for 20 minutes and that’s about it
Well I did my homework before hand. I have a Panasonic GH4 And I am a food blogger and I wanted to use the Canon 50 mm 1.8 lens with this camera. I read in the past on the first addition that this adapter could be a problem But then I read that It Had been Updated to version B. I had read pretty much all good reviews with the occasional review of the camera froze and I had to pop the battery out to get things working again. I figured I’ll give it a shot it’s 95% or better good reviews. Well I took the plunge order the adapter I have five different lenses that are Canon. The one that was most important to me was the 50 mm 1.8 because I’m a food blogger and want to use that for food photography It is also on the list of compatible lenses. I put the lens on the camera and it worked for a total of about 15 minutes. Now it won’t work no matter what I do. It won’t focus, the aperture settings don’t work and basically this thing is completely useless. Not only that I bought this thing to use on a job and now I had to cancel the job forfeiting $600. So basically this thing sucks do not buy it. Keep in mind the same people that sell it is the same company that manufactures it buyer beware. I will be returning mine thankfully the only good part of this transaction is I bought it on Amazon prime which is basically an unconditional return policy. What an inconvenience and what a piece of junk

It works!
This product is a great, mid-priced adapter for using Canon glass on your Micro 4/3 Body. I’ve been using this with the Olympus OM-D EM-10 Mark II and I see no difference in the results between using my Canon lenses on this and using them on a native Canon body. It even works with STM lenses, allowing full control of the aperture.

Freezes the camera on every use.
This adapter does work fine with the GH4 and GH5. My copy however would freeze the camera on just about every use. For short shoots, I could always get it back by removing the battery and resetting it. The last straw for me was that it froze completely in the middle of a wedding and I lost all of the footage. Can't happen. I returned it.
