Very effective.
This was a powerful little serum for brightening my skin and lightening my extremely sun damaged skin. One bottle made a difference. Many others I’ve tried were not as effective. The Alpha Arbutin and Butylresorcinol is key for me. It’s powerful, yet gentle for me. I like that it’s a lightweight serum. I’ll probably need another year to get back to baseline. Consistency is key. That and a healthy diet plus sunscreen from here on.

Great Serum
I was originally using Acure's Alpha Arbutin serum for a couple months, but I didn't see or feel any results from it, and I discontinued use towards the end of it. (Almost used the whole bottle, and finished the rest by applying it to other parts of my body/skin.)However, I like this serum a LOT better than that one, especially in conjunction with Minimalist 's 10% Niacinamide serum. Some pros: it's 10x more affordable than most skincare, and it has more than 1 active ingredient. The expiration date is on the bottle. It comes in multiple boxes to prevent damage. The glass is a dark, uv protected bottle. It's fragrance free, and the pH balance is also listed on the bottle. It's hydrating due to the hyaluronic acid.Cons: I can't think of any (yet?)Bought this originally to reverse my face tan (I wear sunscreen now I swear!) It's too early for me to tell whether it's reducing any pigment, since I've only been using this for a few weeks now. However, when paired with the Niacinamide serum, it helped reduce early wrinkling, which is a total win in my book, even if it ends up not brightening. It also feels great on the skin, and leaves it plump and glowy afterwards. I would definitely still continue using it, even if it never works as intended (getting rid of sun damage/lightening dark spots.)

It was okay
It moisturized my skin. But no affect on brightness of my skin. It smelled good and is worth the money.

Great product
I’ve been using Alpha Arbutin for almost 2 years now. I love it for minimizing discoloration on my skin. I switched from The Ordinary to this product about 6 months ago. It’s very light and dries down quickly. There’s a slight tackiness after, but it doesn’t seem to effect the layering of other products on top. I even use this on the back of my hands to minimize age spots. Overall, a great product with an excellent price point!

Really didn’t do much for my hyperpigmentation
I was curious about trying to product to fade my hyperpigmentation, it was a lot cheaper than the ordinary one and was available on Amazon. But even with consistent use and proper storage, I really didn’t see a difference on my skin from when the bottle was full to when I emptied it out. If you want to see some real results I recommend using the serum by SOM BY MI from their acne line, although just a little pricier, it worked great for fading my dark spots.

DId not work and caused pimples/acne
I used this product for 2+ months to get rid of some dark spots on my face. It did not just not remove/lighten the dark spots, it also made my skin breakout with pimples/acne!! What a waste.... It is not only ineffective but also harmful.

Helped me!
I have big ole dark circles under my eyes. I’ve tried so many things to minimize them without much success. This product has worked the best. I can’t say that there are no more raccoon rings, but the dark color is significantly gone. I’d absolutely recommend this.

So far, so good
I’ve been using this for 3 weeks now (it was recommended by a friend who’s in the dermatology field) and I’m starting to see my dark spots on my face lighten. Hope it continues to work.
