Not sure exactly, but using common sense it must be a lot closer to 14 lb than 3.5 ounces.

Does this sled have any parts that can/will eventually rust?

If there are parts that will rust it’s going to be many years down the road I’ve had mine for three years no rust but all metal parts are either coated or chromed or painted and there is a possibility that layer will wear off and you will get some rust but I would not worry about it. The Hammer is awesome.

Can this be dismantled or does it fold for air travel?

Comes at a unit piece. Not good for travel.

Does this one come with a safety leash and towline?

No safety equipment but as you can see in the picture it does come with an adjustable strap for you to be able to pull it back up the hill. It's a velcro strap that can be removed if you don't want to use it.
