How stable is it in gusty weather? Especially the wing connection. Don't want it to actually fly away!

These birds come with ground stabilizers that are larger than most. However in really gusty weather they can fall over. I haven't had a problem with the wings coming lose. To eliminate most of this problem place an item like a brick over the feet in addition to the stabilizers and they will be much more secure. In high winds you should remove them anyway.

I have purchased this pair of Blue Cranes for over a year now, they look great and have withstood some strong winds and heavy rains with no signs of rust, it's also possible that I pre-coated them with clear urethane to prevent rusting, which will allow them to last longer!
