Easy to install and really nothing to configure. The wi-fi transceiver on my old laptop broke. So, I got this external wi-fi adapter in order to keep using the laptop. It's an older laptop, so I don't mind that this adapter works only in the 2.4 GHz frequency. It's a very good replacement and works just as fast as the built-in wi-fi adapter that broke.

from what I can tell, the max speed is a little slow - so maybe not ideal for everyone. However, I only use this to connect to a backup network when my main WiFi/ethernet is down, so it works more than well enough for me. And if you're just using a browser streaming 720 or 1080p video, or even for quite a few games, it should probably be more than enough. I might avoid screensharing on discord or something though.the status LED is handy, and is diffused by the glossy clear plastic the device is made out of, so it doesnt cause any eyestrain or annoyance in my peripheral vision. no fuss, works on windows and ubuntu for me out of the box.

I bought this for my Neptune 3D printer. It worked as expected. I still opted for an Ethernet connection. After the switch, I forgot it in my pocket and ran it through the washer and dryer. Surprisingly, it still works just fine. Now I use it as an upgraded Wi-Fi adapter for my Dell optiplex 3050. It is a night and day improvement, in spite of its size. This thing works great.

For ten bucks, this thing made my PC go from Amish to Elon Musk in under five minutes. 10/10, would buy again if I could find the one I ready bought.
