The part is a poor design. The roller axles are sandwiched between the plates. Everything comes apart at once and doesn't go back together nicely. (It's not built nicely to begin with.) I spun the rollers with a grinder so that a very small and even amount of material would come off and allow it to clear the sandwich plates. Then I lubed the axles so that they wouldn't squeak so much. I use this item as a bulkhead in my ceiling because my air hose reel for my garage is in the attic. This is not entirely what it's designed for, so I didn't rate the part based on the fact that I needed much longer bolts than provided and a custom mounting plate to make this work. In the end, this is the cheapest I could find and the quality reflects it. However, I don't see it necessary to spend any extra money on it. I would buy it again.

Received the wrong item. I ordered the 'L' shaped Roller Guide. Received a square one without mounting holes. It will still work so not worth returning. Durable construction, all heavy metal parts except the plastic rollers. Good quality materials and quick delivery. Giving 4 stars despite receiving the wrong item.

The product I have was installed one roller on the outside of my house wall and the other roller is on the inside of my craw space wall. I hung the retractable reel on the craw space house beam and lined up with the roller on the wall and fed the hose thru to the outside of the house and everything works great.

Screws are too short to mount to anything has to buy longer bolts to even install not enough meat to really mount to anything had to cut a weird square in a square cut to mount it once fully installed took one small tug unrolling the spool and it's bent also with it being prime it took over a week to arrive

This item arrived today and as other reviewers reported...…...this is not the same item as purchased. I'm sure I can make it work if I have an additional purchase of some L brackets but really shouldn't have too. 2 stars only because I purchased this used for $10 bucks - if I paid full price it would be 1 star..

Dang it. I didn’t read the reviews that ALL describe how the item shipped is not the item pictured. I will make mine due for sake of time, but c’monI’m only rating it so low because of the inaccurate description. It looks like it will do what I need once I make the mounting work for me.

The item is fine....if Coxreels had sent the item pictured, but they didn't. They sent the flat plate instead of the L-bracket.
