I’ve bought this more than once. Works well with black out curtains

So my use of these double curtains rods was rather unconventional. I was looking for a way to add curtains to my blinds without touching the wall at all, and these curtain rods actually allowed me to do that. This only works with exterior blinds however, not internal ones as you need the top part the holds the blinds to stick out so the inner rod can be supported on it. I used 3m velcro adhesive to the side on the wood trim of the window to make sure the rod sticks to the sides (Would probably work with normal tough velcro adhesive but 3m is generally stronger). Next, I offered support to the center of the rod to prevent sagging by using the 3m adhesive in the middle and sides as well in the part where the inner rod and top side of the blind holder touches each other. This keeps it stable as if it were screwed to the wall. Next, I just placed the curtain on the outer rod, twisted the rod in and voila! A way to replace blinds without even touching the wall! This gives my ultimate flexibility on whether to use blinds or curtains depending on the occasion and how much light I want to come through and how.Additionally, this rods allow for full privacy as well as preventing light leakage to the sides. The reason a small of amount of light leaking in my photo is because the wood trim from the window is about an inch or so sticking away from the wall. If it were screwed directly to the wall, then there would likely be no light leakage whatsoever. I highly recommend these double curtain rods, I cannot use normal blinds or non warped rods again in my bedroom.

This dual-rod system turned out to be the perfect solution for the window treatment I was envisioning for the main bathroom in our home. It accommodates both the sheers and the privacy drapes over them. There is plenty of space between the rod pocket sheers and the grommet drapes to prevent movement of the sheers on the rod holding them in place. For the sake of semi-privacy during the daylight hours, I wanted the sheers to remain stationary. They let in plenty of light, so I often eliminate the need to turn on the lights to use the bathroom. If the interior lights remain off during the day, the sheers offer enough coverage to prevent anyone outside from being able to see into the bathroom. When there is a need for more privacy, I simply pull the outer drapes closed.This rod was very easy to install into the drywall above the window. The instructions included were clear and precise, and also offered diagrams of each step, in case there may have been any confusion.Solid material and construction assured me that it was sturdy enough to hold more material than I placed on it, and it would withstand repeated movement of the drapes.The style is sleek, uncomplicated and modern. It complements the window treatments beautifully. The value is high because the quality is evident when you look at it, unlike many other styles.This is a product I will be purchasing again, in different sizes for other rooms in our home.

This curtain rod is excellent. So easy to install and extremely durable. Highly recommend.

I read so many reviews saying how hard it was to mount this once you get the 3 little plates screwed to the wall. People noted that you then had to slide the 2 end pieces of the rods down onto these plates and it wouldn't go down all the way. This is easily fixed by backing the screws out from the plates on the wall slightly to allow room for the side pieces to slide down onto the plates which then makes everything snug. My other concern was would the shorter 24"-48" inch rod work on a window that's exactly 48" wide and the answer is YES! The straight rods easily extend to 48", but then the 2 end pieces that wrap around extend another 3" further on each side giving you about 54" wide that is actually covered by curtain which is perfect! And because there is a middle bar it's plenty strong in the middle of the rod even when fully extended. One last note, there is plenty of space between the 2 rods, maybe 3" that allow you to easily pull back both curtains without getting them bunched together. Altogether a sleek and sturdy, excellently designed double rod at a very reasonable price that is a great solution when you like your curtains, but want to put a set of light blocking curtains behind them.
