What a great discovery!!
I had heard of Baby Einstein in passing by other people but since my children are grown and in college...except for one that is in High School I didn't have to be in the new ways of teaching children(babies) how to learn their numbers and shapes. Now, that I'm a grandparent I started looking for different ways that I could not only entertain but educate my grand child. I came across Baby Einsten Numbers and Shapes Discovery Cards. Wow, how things have changed in 22 years anyway my grad daughter seem to be captivated by the colors...it was then that I saw that two different videos(dvd) went with the cards(this being one of them and Baby Newton) to help re-enforce what the children see on the cards and vise versa. When I first showed my grand daughter the video she was anything but intrested but I put it in a little later after she had ate and took her nap and she was just enthralled by what she was looking at on the tape.I wish they had these when my children were growing up but one thing is for sure my grand daughter will be a Baby Einstein baby...I have already ordered other products and can't wait for them to arrive and watch my grand daughter's face.Great Product, Great Price!!!

Wonderful and age appropriate
My little one absolutely loves this DVD and even asks for it by "growling" like the tiger on the front! It may surprise you that they only teach numbers up to 5, but as a former preschool teacher I believe it is very age appropriate. The DVD is not teaching them to just -count- to five, they are teaching the children how to recognize numbers up to five as well as recognize number sets (ie-when we see 4 things we don't have to count, we automatically know there are four things). I think it is wonderful, and had they gone on to teach 6-10 it not only would have been too long, but would have been overwhelming. I think it was very well made as does my 1 1/2 year old!

Great entertainment and learning for my 18 month old
I highly recommend any Baby Einstein videos. My daughter loves them all, although I've never been able to watch any of them for any length of time. My daughter has never been a tv watcher, but since introducing her to these videos she has been very focused on what they teach. My daughter has a vocabulary of a 3 year old and also uses more sign language than I know myself because of some of the other (B.E.) videos. I've incorporated these into my preschool readiness program in my daycare. My families are always asking to borrow a disk to take home and it's been a joy being able to share these with others. I would give this product a 10 if I could! Enjoy!

Hooray for the Tiger Tape!
Like many parents, we own all of the Baby Einstein videos. Baby Bach and Baby Einstein are the only two my kids never enjoyed. Numbers Nursery is another HIT!Disney has finally been smart enough to go back to Julie Aigner-Clark's original Einstein concept. What made Baby Einstein so special in the first place was that it was so simple. Babies don't need special effects and computer-based graphics - such as in Baby Newton - ugh! Both my 11-month old daughter and 2 1/2 year old son love this tape. Yes, it would be nice if it went higher than five, but the point of the tape is not to teach your children how to count. That's your job. It's educational entertainment, or so I like to think. If your kids love Baby Einstein as much as I do, they are going to love Numbers Nursery.

Excellent deal
This was exactly what I thought it would be. It came in quickly and in excellent condition. it had an invoice just in case there were problems so I would not have had to look up the seller. Great deal for the price. I may never buy new DVDs again when used are this good.

Baby Einstein Numbers Nursery
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! I own all of the titles, and feel that this is certainly the best one for toddlers age 1 and up. When my daughter turned 19-months old she could count to 5, thanks to this video (of course I recommend the use of books, fridge magnets, and counting as you walk, etc.) but if you need 25 minutes to prepare dinner and would like for your child to get some educational fun in, this is it. Once she was too familiar with the main video, I clicked on 'Bonus Material' to discover that it was loaded with additional videos, counting games, discovery games and even flash cards for numbers 1 - 10 in 7 languages, which is perfect for our English/French bilingual household. Within 3 days, she was counting to 10! Now if only there were a part 2 that would count to 20.

I feel great about what my baby is watching
My son is 9 months and is mesmerized by the variety of images, the upbeat classical music and the playful tone of the puppets. I can put this on repeat and he will be fully entertained for up to an hour and a half. The great thing is that he is seeing and hearing numbers as they relate to the real world and real objects. In the last couple of days, he has started to rock back and forth to the classical music which I love! My ONLY issue is that the counting stops at 5. Why not go to at least 10??? love the DVD and will be purchasing more.

A GOD SEND!
My daughter is 11 months old and LOVES this dvd. She is a fussy eater and we used to have real problems getting her to eat..with this dvd playing in the background she is like a different baby! She now eats all her food with NO protests at all!! She will sit quietly and watch this over and over again..I'm pretty sure she would watch it all day if we let her! It has also snapped her out of a cranky mood on more than one occasion! My only complaint is that we can't find a cuddly-toy version of that tiger...she LOVES the tiger!

Fantastic!
When I watched this - as with all the DVDs in this series - I thought it looked rubbish. But what do I know?! My son loves it - has watched it from about 10mths up (is now a year old) and is fascinated by it. He'll sit and happily watch the whole 25mins - giggling at some of the puppet scenes which seem to be his favourite. When he's inconsolable with teething, this distracts him perfectly. Also useful if you need 20mins to make/eat tea without interruption - and I can convince myself it's okay for him to sit in front of the TV - it's educational you know!
