Featuring the same construction as our LKC holster, the SKC holster features a rugged leather-looking synthetic outer layer. The less expensive synthetic material retains the classic look of leather with better all-weather durability than leather. The SKC holster combines the classic look and comfort of synthetic material and the smooth draw afforded by suede with the tactical advantages of Kydex. The outer layer of the SKC is molded synthetic material. The inner layer is quality suede for quiet draws and unparalleled protection for the pistol. Hidden between these two layers is a rugged Kydex holster. The pistol is securely gripped by the adjustable tension of the Kydex. Three-layer holsters combine all the benefits of both synthetic and Kydex. The synthetic and suede offer a classic look while strengthening and quieting the Kydex. The Kydex retains its tactical advantages, providing rigidity, safer re-holstering, and one-handed charging of the pistol. The adjustable tension of the Kydex provides a smooth, consistent draw from the first draw to the last with no stretching or loosening. The suede lining protects the finish of the pistol against abrasion from the Kydex. This holster is worn with our redesigned paddle that locks to clothing and belt to prevent holster from being drawn with the weapon and may be worn in several comfortable positions. The paddles unique design allows wear as a belt holster too. All Mako holsters feature our PDS (push and draw) retention system which uses a reflexive motion to release the pistol from the PDS holsters positive retention system, yet there is no obvious release method to someone attempting to grab the pistol.
