Does it have a hole in the top? If so why?

It has several holes in the top, in a geometric pattern. They are a part of the design. Other than that, I have no idea why the designer chose to put them there.

Can I use it in the shower or will it slip?

It has floor protectors on the bottom but I would put additional. Never thought of putting it in the shower.

The photos of the product show two pictures, one has girls, and the other has dragons. if i buy it, will i get the girls one? i don't like the other.

I did receive the one with the figures. The one shown here. It is pretty. The only complaint would be it has alot of white background. There are others with the entire stand painted in full.
