Is the sealant paintable?

Yes. Once it dries it can be painted over (the orange tubes).

If you use it to seal around the edges of a temporary wall, would it peel off easily when it was time to remove the temp wall?

I doubt it would peel off easily without cutting both sides of the caulk with a razor blade. This stiff is really sticky and never fully cures. Hope this helps.

What color is this when dry?

It;s green when dry. It's also messy but it works!
