Great watch. If you want high accuracy this is a way to go. GMT hand shows your alternate time zone so with a glance you can read both location times easily without switching. With a Time Scale in hand you can quickly pinpoint your longitude! This ETA Movement used is exclusive to Longines. Anti Shock, Anti Magnetic, Gear Driven with correction. Water resistance leaves some to be desired at only 5bar. Do not swim with this watch. Flash Setting is the way to go, but with just a flick, spin or turn you can quickly set the time without disturbing the set accuracy. Having a Perpetual Calendar is nice; no more advancing days at the end of certain months.

Do not be mistaken, this is not an ordinary quartz watch. This is high accuracy quartz watch (HAQ) - Longines calls it VHP (very high precision). It is based on unique modified ETA (Swiss) movement which provides accuracy +/-5 second per year, can detect magnetic fields, mechanical shock and automatically realign hands if needed!. In case you do not know, very good mechanical watches can give you accuracy +/-5 second per day. I own fine mechanical watches and do enjoy them, but frankly, unless you are very lucky, you will see obvious deviation of seconds hand in a week, which may be somewhat annoying. Not with this one! There is only one watch currently in the world that can beat this one - Citizen Caliber 0100 (+/- 1 s/year), but it has no date, no GMT and costs at least 5x of this one if you can get it.Very limited options if you want HAQ with GMT function - there is Grand Seiko but it costs 3x of this watch and is slightly less accurate (10s/year). Also, Longines has unique way of setting time zones using optical sensor in the watch and flash strobes from your cell phone - super cool and convenient if you travel a lot. If you do not like it you can still set them with the crown of course.There is so many things to like. Reputable Swiss company with horological history plus super accurate Swiss movement. Perpetual calendar - date never needs adjusting (in fact it comes set from the factory). Date changes instantly at 12. GMT with super easy and fun way to swap between local and travel time. Finish, while obviously not at the level of Rolex or Omega, is very good at this price range, somewhat subdued elegance with black dial. Lume is applied sparingly but it is very bright, brighter than Omega SMP lume for example. Decent bracelet but no quick microadjustment - I put it on a strap. Around 4 years battery life. It is water resistant to only 50m (likely because action of a crown), but while not a diver it is enough for everyday use.There is no other watch like this and a great value, especially if you find it below MSRP. Get it!
