Are there any chemicals that could leach into the food?

Not that I know of. I wish I had bought my Le Creuset Dutch oven years ago. It is my favorite pan for pot roasts or baking chicken. Love that it goes from stovetop to oven to the stovetop for gravy making to table to refrigerator. So easy to clean. Love love love it.
