HOLMES Dual Blade Twin Window Fan, White HAWF2021

I only had this fan two days..so far it’s been great. It’s been pretty hot the last couple days, we have been using this as an exhaust fan..you actually have to take the fan out and flip it over when you want to change it from exhaust to fan but it’s super light weight and easy to remove which makes flipping it not a problem at all. When I opened my bedroom door when I woke up today u could actually feel the difference in temperature, the rest of the house was a bit muggy but not the bedroom, it definitely helps by pulling some of the humid air out. It’s been 80 at the highest so I assume (since it’s just a fan) when the temperature rises above that it probably won’t be much help, but then again neither will any fan. I will keep updating this review if I find any problems with it or it dies out.. if I write nothing else then it’s still doing it’s job🤞🤞

I have only had this unit for a month and have used it quite a bit. So far it works like a charm. It is quiet yet effective in the room I have it installed. I have only two concerns, which are minor. 1) the side fins don't extend to the size of my standard 2' 11" wide window; they are just shy of full coverage. And 2), you have to physically reverse the unit when you want to either push or pull air, (change the direction of air flow.) Outside of that, for it's cost, it seems to work great.

I gave it this rating because in order to get the fan going in the opposite direction, you have to take the unit out of the window, turn it around and put it back in the window. Too bad. Everything else was good.

I ordered this fan to replace a previous model of the same fan. This one is so much better and even on high, it is much quieter. It is also water proof which the older one was not. Couldn't be happier!!

This fan works well and I like that you turn it off and on with one button. It is really noisy and there is an engine noise that is not constant- it is (dont laugh) rum silence rum silence. Drove me nuts. It is quieter when it is placed longways horizontal in the window and not vertical, but still too noisy to watch TV or sleep with it on (even at the slow speed). I have one great fan that is quiet at home, but the wretched thing doesnt show the maker! Aargh. I have bought several Holmes in window fans and they used to be much quieter. I dont think I will be buying another from this maker.

Nice fan. Does the job. Wish the side panels came out to a standard window. Weird that they didn’t make it wide enough.

I use this as an exhaust fan in my kitchen at night, so that it can pull cool air in from open windows at the other end of the house. It works well. Since it is far from sleeping areas, the noise isn't a problem, but this is not a very quiet fan. I have it plugged into an outlet that I can control remotely. For this reason, I wanted a fan that didn't have digital controls, but that I could set and they would remain the same. This fan fit the bill for that feature. Since I was using it just for exhaust, needing to reverse the fan physically to change from pulling air in from outside to exhaust was not a concern.

A very nice fan at a great price. This is a replacement for another fan we had with two visible round panels but since we use this for exhaust (you have to physically turn it around to change from exhaust to fan functions) it looks much sleeker. The side panels are well made and have clever little locks. I find there's a bit of a high-pitched whine when it's on high but my boyfriend can't hear it, and it's not there on Low.
