LorusAnalog Quartz Watch with Metal Strap RH913NX9

For a price of less than £25 (including next day Prime delivery), this watch is excellent value. I bought it to use while I am working as I am notorious for scratching watch glass. I can now keep my better watches for evenings out and special events!Coming from the Seiko family, quality is as expected and more than adequate - certainly much better than other watches I have used in this price range. When measured against the atomic clock, time keeping is very good (accurate to ~1 second a day).The watch is very comfortable to wear and water resistance seems good - I wear it in the shower without any issues. Unlike many other watches in this price range, the dial glass is Hardex rather than cheaper easily scratched plastic (take note Casio)...I am a big bloke (2m tall) but had to remove 3 links for a good fit. ie. The watch should be suitable for most men.If I have a gripe, it concerns the tricky rigmarole necessary to remove strap links. Instead of the more usual pin, there is a lug that has to be removed using something like a small watchmakers screwdriver - be very careful as it's very easy to stab yourself. Fortunately, it's (hopefully) a one-off adjustment!Otherwise, no complaints. The watch is very reasonably priced and rather elegant.Indeed, I am rather chuffed....😁👌😁

I bought this watch for work it is stylish, comfortable and the braclet was easy to adjust and most of all cheap

Looks nice, like a more expensive watch. However the build quality is poor and the instructions supplied are dangerously inaccurate which led me to pull the crown out whilst trying to set the date. Fortunately it went back in again and the watch seems to still work but had I paid more for the watch then I would have returned it.NB: For those thinking of buying this watch please disregard the instructions. To set the date pull the crown out to the first click, to set the time to the second. Also search online for how to adjust the strap, if you follow the instructions you'll break the clasp.

this is actually my second one. its so good , robust ( 50 metres water resistance ) and affordable i couldn't pass up the chance to buy it again. lorus was founded by seiko , though the case states MADE IN CHINA , it is only the case as seiko has a plant in china that they use for anything under £100.the movement is from seiko japan.when you first get the watch the minute hand will not be secure, it will move back and forth by 2 indices . this is NORMAL. when you push the crown in to activate the watch the minute hand no longer dangles freely.buy while you can , especially at this price

Great everyday watch, easy to see the time at a glance. Nice dial and bezel. Very thin too. Best of all it's only £26.What's not to like.

I have previously had an Lorus Luminate range for several years until the battery holder broke.So I thought I would give this a go.Wrong watch; it's is all metal with half the the size battery of the previous watch. Thus it couldn't keep time.Maybe for a while if it had the backup of the heat from your wrist.Tried to return via Amazon but I was one day out. Seiko waves the warranty crap even though I have proof of purchase. Also take into account postage and the actual cost of returning it; I am wasting my time and you will be if you brought it.Timepiece/ battery/ big metal case just not up for the job.

I'm used to buying relatively cheap Timex watches which tend to last a couple of years but the last time I bought a watch (in January) there were reviews suggesting Lorus was better. Alas less than two months after receiving it, it has stopped. No doubt just a bad battery but I don't expect to change a battery after two months. Maybe I was unlucky but I won't be buying another Lorus watch no matter how cheap.
