Can the mouth be opened and closed by the operator's hand while inserted within the puppet?

Yes, it can be opened and closed. It works great for an adult with small hands. The opening is not big enough for a person with large hands to use. I use the puppet at church and the kids love her.

Do you have enough room in the doll for your hand to feel comfortable, or is it tight?

I have enough room to feel comfortable. I am a woman with average size hands. I am also a musician, playing guitar and piano, so I think it would bother me if it was tight, but it is not. This is a really good puppet, I like it a lot.

Are you able to chage the clothing on the puppet or is the clothes sewn on?

You can take the clothes off, they are not sewn on. It is a beautiful puppet, and well-made. I definitely recommend it!

Can the shoes be removed as well?
