Quality Product with many uses!
Good product. Mild exfolliant. Mild Acid. Also if you mix a little in deoderant or in skin lotion and apply, it kills the bacteria which causes body odor. (Thats the idea behind Lume-type deoderants). I just found out today that the $58.99 plus 5.49 shipping for 8 ounces would only cost me $28.99 in total if I had purchased it directly for Talsen. It would have however, taken a long time to get to Alaska. Amazon Prime is something most Alaskans belong to as you have to pay tons of shipping for most products to get here if they do ship. Its not like there is a TJ Maxx or a Mall -and there's not even a Walmart in the State Capital. Just a tip. Product came in a plastic metallic re-sealable envelope. There was no expiration date or MDS enclosed. Melting Point is 119C Boiling is 321.8 C. Its a fine granular powder and it is cosmetic grade, white in color.I have purchased this product a few times in the 2.2 lb size and made Mandelic Acid body lotions that were infused with Vitamins C and E and Ferrulic Acid in carefully measured quantities and a mild fragrance and preservative and gave them out to co-workers and I also made antifungal creams for feet, body wash, etc.I have a degree in Chemistry that I'm no longer using except for fun projects. If you enjoy making things with chemicals you will need to study these materials and don't just scoop them into a beaker and add water. If you do not know what you are doing, its not like food. Acids can irritate the skin, eyes, etc. Your skin is 4.5-5.5 average pH. Water is 7. Also molecular size is important. Hyaluronic Acid is a large molecule than Mandelic Acid. Its good to know what your chemicals need as a solvent,if they need an emulsifier, etc. Its good to have a small scale, measuring scoops, beakers or glass measuring cups,an immersion blender (those coffee frothers don't cut it)and pH test strips or better yet, a meter for checking potential hydrogen. Always patch test your final product a few times. It doesn't have to tingle to work or cause an irritation. Practice safe chemistry!

Kills odor
I was wearing native deodorant for a while and it worked, but it's expensive. I take a teensy bit of this in my palm and put a teaspoon of Shea butter, rub it all together, and use as deodorant. It works perfectly. I noticed that it got rid of some minor hyperpigmentation, as well. Use it on my face occasionally by mixing in with moisturizer. But be careful - use this conservatively because it can cause a chemical burn. It's no joke. Will prob be using this for the rest of my life, honestly.

Saves me $$ on DIY "Lume"
I'm too cheap to buy Lume I said if I'd body wash and deodorant. So this is the perfect ingredient I just added to my body wash and I added to water in a spray bottle and get an all over body deodorant. It is fantastic and you don't have to use a lot! Saves me hundreds of dollars not buying the name brand and just making my own mandelic acid Lume stuff.

Best Natural Deodorant I've ever used...
All it takes is a little bit of this powder mixed up in the palm of my hand with a small amount of water and applied under my arms and I don't worry about ANY odor all day/night long, no matter how much I sweat. This is a super economical way to both smooth away the fine lines on my face, neck, chest, hands, and arms and also keep me smelling so darn good and natural. If I apply perfume or essential oils it's not competing with the smell of deodorant. It's an all around win/win and this amount of powder will last for a long time but I won't hesitate to purchase it again from this company.

works perfectly for diy deodorant
Mandelic Acid is a common active ingredients in deodorants using acids, such as Lume. Those deodorants have worked pretty well for me. However, I was sick of paying the price tag for them, so, I decided to get the mandelic acid and make my own. From what I can tell it is soluble in water and oil, however, it's more soluble in water (or something like that- I'm not a chem person). So, I got a mineral salts deo spray, poured some out in a travel sized spray bottle, added some powder and shake! *does a sniff test* it works! I have had zero odor issues and neither has my husband! Even in this heat and physical work all day. I haven't yet perfected the ratios but I will try to update when I do. Also, I think I will add some scent to it as well.
