Race Around The World! (LEGO DC Super Heroes: 8x8)

Decent LEGO book.Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman, sharks, Gorilla Grodd, Hawkman, Supergirl, Brainiac, Green Lantern, Sinestro... they're all there in this entertaining book on the quest to find out who is faster: Superman or Flash.My three-year-old son stayed interested and engaged the entire time when we first read this book. From the adult reader standpoint, there's much to be desired... not going to lie, it wasn't the most enjoyable and exciting read. :)Having said that, I think it's neat that so many characters are referenced and are included in this book as my son has really started to express an interest in superheroes.The paperback book is a fairly flimsy, but so far has held up well. We have several other LEGO books similar to this one, and they all have seemed to hold up well. We do our best to keep them taken care of and removed from 'play areas,' which I imagine has helped.All in all... we like this book and think it's a good addition to our 'read before bedtime' library.If my review was helpful, please let me know below. The pages on this book are much sturdier than our other Lego books. The pages are harder than paperback, but certainly not a board book. Needless to say, it holds up to my toddler. My son is intrigued by the story, but I hate that it introduces a bunch of villains with no context. Each villain gets one page. It would have made more sense to show the superheroes needing to save people from generic villains rather than give details many readers don’t understand.

My son loved this book! The characters seemed accurate and the book was very funny. My son did say that he wished Batman had been in the story, but that's just because he loves Batman more than anyone. I liked how they used so many villains without it seeming like too many.

My son loves these books. This is basically a comic book for toddlers.

My kid loves the LEGO Flash, especially. He was excited to get this book.

Great book read for my eight year old son who loves LEGOs and the justice league! Well written in true comic book style.

This booklet is so cool! I got it for my kid when he was four or five and I must've read it at least twenty times to him. He never gets bored! When he turned five, the kids at his birthday party spotted the book, so they made me read it to them. They all sat around me and listened quietly, curious as to how the story would end. It's a short story, like a bedtime story, with page-size pictures, and I highly recommend it!
