Decent cat collar for the price -- $5.99 as of the date of this review. A similar, good quality cat collar at Pet Smart is ~$10. The break-away buckle is firm enough to resist my cat's scratching his neck, but feels like it will release correctly if he is struggling against an entanglement. The bell is attached with a sturdy metal band that is more tenacious than other collars I've purchased, but it can still be removed with a pair of needle-nosed pliers. Because the band is a solid color and a good thickness, I was able to write my cat's name and my phone number on the webbing legibly with a Sharpie, which saves having to buy a tag.The plastic buckle and the plastic slider (i.e., the little square thing used to adjust the length) on the collar I received are red like the webbing, not white as pictured. I like the looks of the one I got, but the picture should be updated.My cat is indoor/outdoor, and tends to lose collars every month or two out in the neighborhood. Consequently, it would be nice if the seller offered these collars in packs of 3 or more with a quantity discount. A reflective thread woven into the webbing would be a welcome feature.

Speedy delivery. Pretty lightweight collar with small attached bell. The plastic clasp will release if the cat gets it caught on althe furniture or something.Easily adjustable to fit the cat's neck. The pink one was too big for one and the red one was too small for the other. Both cats adjusted to the collars and the bells.I would definitely buy these again BUT since they were meant to be used with the tags for food bowls that would only open for the assigned tag, it may be necessary to return two whole setups. About $100 in total.The collars themselves are great but will not be needed if the tags can't be unscrewed to install the batteries.

For the price this a decent cat collar. The unit I received actually looks better than the photograph as the clasp and bell are actually both red which looks better than the white/black ensemble in the picture. It's easy to adjust and it can come off if it gets caught on anything, which is part of the design anyways. We purchased this collar for our newest cat. We had searched everywhere for a plain red collar and finally hit upon this brand. Our other cat has a reliable breakaway collar and we had hoped this one, although a different brand, would fit the bill. Sadly the clasp just doesn't have what it takes to keep the collar on the cat. We have spent more time looking for it in the house, than he has wearing the blasted thing. There are safety collars, and then there are safety collars, but this one opens up with a hard look. It's not like the cat has to be rough or an escape artist to get free. I have seen it come off while scratching innocently, and once while rolling over. The clasp may need a re-think.

These are a great safety feature for curious cats. This was actually a replacement because our cat suddenly did not have her collar on, and we couldn't find it anywhere. Which is good, because it means she potentially could have been stuck somewhere in the house that we couldn't find, if her collar didn't break away like these do. They don't come off easily, they stay on very well and the clip is strong. But it will break away if caught. Fantastic safety idea.

This collar seemed to be a good break away collar when I first put it on my cat.I tried to take it off after a year to adjust the size and I could not get it to open.I had to cut it off my cat.I then tried pulling it apart and still could not get the pieces to come apart.I question whether the cat’s weight would make it break away or if it would strangle the cat.

I found the bell too annoying, so I broke it off. Wanted to re-use the metal loop the bell was on for the cat tag. I tried bending it to get the cat tag in, but it broke easily. Just the loop broke though, the rest of the collar is great! I actually used a tiny zip-tie to attach the cat tag, and that has worked well. Never comes off on accident, but has once when she was caught.

I have 2 cats who go out everyday and they need a collar that will stay on them as they go through the bushesand brambles. This collar does that job well. I do prefer the other clip better than this new one but so far so good.
