I’ve had my Vitamix blender for over 8 years and I loved everything about it except for the actual construction of the plastic blender. It became cloudy and discolored over time and was impossible to clean—not to mention it was too tall to fit under my cabinets! Soooo excited to find this amazing stainless steel version! It functions as beautifully as the original version, so no loss of quality there. Cleaning it is a breeze as it also is dishwasher safe and best feature of all: IT FITS UNDER MY CABINET! I guess it’s the little things that truly count!

My old Vitamix pitcher was not blending well due to worn down blades-- especially frozen fruit. It's a big investment to buy a replacement, but the blender itself is in great shape. The first time I used this new pitcher it was so fast and a lot less noisy, I thought, I should have bought this year's ago!!! If your blender is struggling to blend frozen fruit, don't wait! It's worth it!!!

It's worth the extra money. Don't buy the cheaper one . The reviews aren't good for the most part on that one. You'll know you're receiving the better one by the difference in the shape of the handle.

I like to cook soups or make red chile sauce in the blender, and that requires blending for long enough that it gets hot, so wanted to get away from the plastic and use stainless steel, and I have loved the switch. The blender is much heftier, and very well made. As I would expect from a Vitamix product, it's high quality and I've no issues with blend ability or speed. It does a have a little less capacity than my first blender top, but the spout is much better, I never have drips with this and the lid seals much better, it has a little suction. Overall very impressed, would recommend.

Well worth the investment. It is around 1/3 smaller than the plastic version, but the size works better. It runs quieter too.

This container seems to be well made, and is attractive. Functions quite well, as you would expect a Vitamix product to function. The only caveat I would offer is beware of the sharp edges in some areas around the spout. And read the instructions before removing the lid for first time. I actually cut myself when removing the lid for the first time. That said, we are pleased with the container and would purchase again.

Old 48 vitamix plastic container lasted about 3 years. It got pitted and cloudy so it would not wash at any speed.This one should run on any future machines I buy.vitamix v 1200 refurbished package is the best deal out there.

Looks nice but more importantly seems to be a better design than the plastic. Spins better with less food and it’s also easier to empty.
