iFrogz Luxe Lean Case for iPhone 5 - Retail Packaging - Grey

WHAT IS INCLUDEDiFrogz includes (1) phone case. They do not include any additional accessories as of writing this review.DESIGNThe case snaps on (button side first) and protects both sides of the iPhone. The top and bottom are completely open to give you full access to the sleep/awake button, microphone port, lightning charger, and microphone/speaker. The buttons on the side (volume rocker and silent switch) are also exposed so that you are pressing the buttons and feeling the feedback the way it was intended. I can't stand how some cases cover these buttons and replace them with their own! This case is one of my favourite because of the fact that it shows off the form factor of the iPhone while exposing all ports so you still realize you have an iPhone 5. Other cases out there do not include a headphone cut-out that is big enough to fit a typical 3.5mm jack. This is not a problem with the Luxe Lean.QUALITYiFrogz Luxe Lean is a thin plastic case which snaps on the iPhone easily. The plastic is coated with a matte-like material which is very nice to touch. It provides a nice layer of protection as well as a grippy-texture while not collecting lint or clinging to the inside of pant pockets. The inside of the case has a felt lining glued to the backing. This provides a nice smooth surface for the back of the iPhone 5 to rest against when the case is on. This is what other case manufacturers (Case-Mate) are missing who make the same "slim" style cases! I have never had a problem with the plastic cracking or breaking.PRICEI purchased this case on Amazon for ~$12. I've seen people complain that this case does not include anything other than the case - no screen protector, etc. The iPhone 5 does not need a screen protector in my opinion. The glass is strong enough not to scratch. Case-Mate's "Barely There" case sells for around the same price but does not include the felt lining on the inside back of the case! I have used several cases from iFrogz before, and I loved the texture and quality of their cases. Ultimately, all of them broke, but I always felt these cases were designed to take the drops and protect the phone, and they always did the job. But after a while, they needed replacing. I bought this case and when it arrived, I was disappointed that it didn't have the typical rubbery texture I had come to love. I put the case aside as a backup and used one of my other iFrogz cases instead.Eventually, that case broke and became unusable, and I switched out to this case intending it as an interim replacement. That was 9 months ago. I was wrong about the texture of the case. It has a feel to it that is easy to grip and doesn't slide out of your hand, yet is smooth enough not to get stuck to the inside of your pocket like many rubber cases. It is hard plastic and is extremely durable. I protects the sides and corners of my phone, yet is not bulky like many protective cases. I'm pretty sure if I ever need to replace this one, I will buy another just like it. But I can't see this one ever breaking. More likely I will wear it out cosmetically before it ever fails structurally. Extremely happy with iFrogz on this one.

I had this same case for my iPhone 4S. It worked perfectly for over 2 years.The new case (for iPhone 5S) doesn't fit as well. I posted a couple of pictures. The bottom right edge (when looking at the phone) tends to unclip and pull off slightly. Someone else suggested it's the fault of the thin felt pad on the inside back of the case being a little too thick, which adds pressure to the case edge where it clamps around the side of the phone. I think that's correct.One of the pics shows the case as I retrieved it from my belt holster, and the iFrogz case has popped off. As in the second pic, it easily pops back on.It never comes all the way off, so I'm not too worried. I like the minimal Luxe Lean case because it provides side grip to an otherwise slippery phone, and the full back protects it from scratches wherever I set it down. Hope they fix this. I think I'll leave some customer service feedback at the iFrogz site.

I purchased this case for the obvious reason that it really adds little bulk to the phone. The grip coating feels great in the hand, and the case looks very clean. The big flaw that made me switch to something more substantial is that the case continually popped of while in the pocket of my jeans. It gets pretty annoying snapping the case back on every time you remove it from your pocket. It also made me wonder how easy it would have popped of had I ever dropped it.

My husband really likes this case, so much I decided to get the same one in pink. He's been using the black version since he bought the iPhone 5, and is now on the 5S and after a couple years it needed replacement. It doesn't add extra bulk to the phone and keeps the phone looking sleek.

Decent case, slim, low-profile, easy to remove. Protected from a few indoor drops just fine, but first drop outdoors and the screen cracked all the way across because the case does not wrap all the way around. Good for moderate protection but not all drops. Had the screen fixed and decided to go with a Speck CandyShell for better drop protection.

Beautiful color, love the smooth soft feel. Easy to put on. Exactly what I wanted in a case. I keep the phone in my pocket and almost never have dropped my iphone in 4 years, so I did not want a big bulky protective case.
