AMACOCeladon High Fire Transparent Gloss Glaze Marigold

Comes out just like the pictures show. A gorgeous marigold yellow. Cone 5-6

I’m a potter. I like amaco glazes.

This is part of a series of celadon-like glazes for mid-range firing ceramics. I was pleased with the look with three to four coats painted on and fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln. Be sure each coat is brushed in opposite direction of the previous one. One up down, one side to side.

I needed a yellow to make this cute honey pot, and this is perfect! I used a mayco yellow underglaze to get the drip on the bisque fire and then did two coats of this yellow glaze and then dipped it in a studio clear glaze. Gave me the perfect look!

Used on man-made pottery dishes, along with some other colors of glaze. It is truly marigolds color; very vibrant! Was easy to brush on; did not run.

Excellent, consistent yellow. It's closer to mustard yellow than lemon. Somewhat transparent. Looks good on white and lighter clays. Haven't tried it on dark clay. Fires well at cone 6. Really can't complain.

Wonderful color to use for duck decorations for Easter.
