Can I stand and use this for video conferencing?

Yes very easily. I even use it for my iPad using zoom.

How tall are the tabs that support the front of the laptop?

Approximately 1”. Holds my very heavy 17” laptop perfectly. Worth the money!

Does the camera shake if I'm typing on my desk?

yes the laptop will shake when you type. It is a poorly designed product. The screws at the bottom cannot be tightened or loosened. The are made with cheap quality and the screw heads are already damaged during assemble.

Does it hold typing while standing?

Yes, it stays in place very well for low and high heights. It is especially useful for zoom calls as it can keep your camera at optimum height. It is great for reading recipes in the kitchen or following online exercise instructions. I highly recommend this stand!
