I needed this for better grip with firearms.
I need to work on my grip while at the range. And after only a few minutes with this gyro ball, I already FEEL like this is going to help me greatly. Just a few seconds in and I feel the workout from my hand, to my upper chest. Of course that depends on how you're using it but even if you're just fidgeting, it'll give you a good workout. My veins started popping out within about 3 minutes. I'm a righty so doing this with my left hand is a tougher challenge. But now I want to work and practice with that one more. If you're looking for a workout while you're sitting and doing other things, this is what you're looking for. Get it.

Same brand my physical therapists use
I broke my right wrist severely and had it surgically rebuilt, with a plate, earlier this year. At physical therapy, this brand of gyro ball is used regularly, so I picked one up for home use. They're a bit tricky to get the hang of at first, particularly when my grip strength is still a fraction of normal, but it's been great in helping to rebuild strength and stability. It is used daily and seems to be holding up fine. When you're done, just don't let go of it until it comes to a complete stop.

Too soon to tell...
I have only had it for a few days, so I don't really know what to expect at this point. But, it does work well and I have had no trouble getting to started or keeping it going. Hopefully, it will help.

From long time/former user of NSD Spinners
I've had multiple NSD Spinners including the autostart version as well as heavy metallic variants.I'm currently recovering from an elbow injury and trying to strengthen my forearm to help with the recovery. Here is my take as a former NSD Spinner user (can't find the autostart and lost the starting string for the metal version).Build Quality: Compared to the NSD Spinner, this is noticeably subpar specially with the inner componentNoise: This one makes quite a bit of ruckus when you stop rotating it. I don't know if it's due to the component seeming unpolished or this is normal for this particular model. While it's being rotated there is almost no discernible difference between this and the autostart models of NSD Spinner. Smoothness of the metal one was on a different levelFelt weight/resistance: It's a nice medium between an autostart and metal versionI bought this to start and possibly move up to a different model in the future. I think i will hold up and try to refurbish the metal version of spinner that was left neglected for yearsEDIT: Starting to get instances where it can't wind up to start the gyro. Sometime it seems to help when you rotate it manually by hand then reversing it to see if there is felt resistanceEDIT: This thing was making such a ruckus when it get spun up to a decent pace. I went ahead and bought a NSD Spinner. Oh boy what a difference. Skip this garbage and buy the proper spinner. It's a night and day different in the way it spins as well as the lack of noise with NSD spinner. I think i can actually take it to work and spin it in the office without someone from another office across the hall inquiring about it

My new daily routine
Occasionally my fingers other than my pinkie will go to sleep or cramp up…early onset of carpal tunnel. I started using this daily one minute per hand and have rarely had these symptoms. Highly recommend.

Gyro Ball - Great for Wrist Physical Therapy
I received my Gyro Ball packages and delivered appropriately. The description of the product was very accurate. The ball is easy to use and definitely gives my wrists and forearms a workout.

the gyroscopic mechanism operation only lasts a minute or less per manual windup
works ok, probably would prefer the self starting one
