The picture shown is for regular arrows not crossbow bolts, is this for the cross bow ones or the arrow ones. Also whats the difference?

There really isn't much difference between the two. The ones for bolts have an inch longer vane that allows for more stabilization since the bolt is shorter and there is very little to no twist to the vanes on the crossbow like there is on the ones for regular arrows.

I understand these are for crossbow bolts, but can they be used on arrow/ compound bows? If so, any modification need to be made prior to install?

I used them on my regular arrows, but you need to make sure they are big enough crossbow bolts have a larger diameter.
