Great for Passive Basses!
I've had this pedal for about two months now and I think it's great. I've encountered no technical difficulties and the tone is awesome. I would recommend looking up some youtube videos to make sure that this pedal is the sound you want though. It's great for funk and rock, and the ability to control the dry and fx signals individually is a unique and useful touch. I own two basses at the moment: an active Ibanez ATK300 and a passive bass I built myself with a p/j pickup configuration. I feel that the pedal sounds a lot better on passive instruments than active ones. I noticed immediately that the sound of the pedal on my p/j was better than on the Ibanez. At first I thought this was just the individual basses, but then I ran my Ibanez passive and it sounded great... so I assumed it was an active/passive thing. overall, i like the pedal a lot. BTW: the Jim Dunlop ECB03 Dun C/B Adaptor Eliminator is the correct 9V adaptor for this pedal, The one they mention in the pedal's description is not sold anymore.

Took me a minute to get it dialed in to the sound I like, but works great
I went through a little trial and error finding the tone I like, but that's some of the fun, this thing has a wide range for the segment it's in. I frequently use a compression pedal, I find that this works A LOT better without a compressed tone going into it, I'm sure there's a really good scientific reason for that.

GREAT envelope--just OUCH to me ears (peaky)
Pretty good wet tone, but peaks kill my ears and the P.A.--need a limiter after.

Love this little Funk monster
Over the years I've had just about every EF pedal ever made and this is one of the best. The dry and FX knobs are what I like about this pedal adding more dry to the effect gives you a thicker EF sound than some other pedals. It's also a very small pedal. I still use a Source Audio EF Pedal which does a lot of things and is great but it is rather large. For some compact funk the MXR Bass EFis the way to go.

The best envelope filter for bass.
This is one of the most versatile envelope filters you can buy. The Dry and FX controls let you maintain your low-end, and the three other controls let you dial in an extreme or mild effect. I've heard many envelopes for bass, and this one is the best. The only drawback is that if you want to use a battery, you have to remove the bottom of the pedal, but I can't imagine anyone using batteries in these things anymore.

No accessories!
This product came with no power supply. A label says open the bottom cover and install a 9v battery. There is no place for a 9v battery in the unit. Then there is instructions for what kind of a power supply to buy (not provided) and the information is confusing to a non-engineer like myself. I can’t find the proper power supply. I have a friend who is an IT guy and maybe he can help. BUYER BEWARE

Best sounding filter
MXR got this right. I've used them all, and the thing that makes this the ticket is the ability to mix effect and dry signal. The sensitivity is also critical, and allows you to dial in just the spot where your attack will trigger the effect, and let's you 'dig into' the note to 'quack'.Don't hesitate to pop for this if you want the funk. It the bomb!

Not the wide range of sounds I hoped for
I gave this an honest try, and attempted to use it for a long time. It just didn't have much of a pallet. The settings were limiting. There seemed to be small bands of sweet spots, and going beyond that with most settings became unpleasant. Maybe I just didn't figure it out, but I couldn't get it to add much to the funk and blues I play.

Perfetto!
Pedale abbinato ad un basso rispecchia le caratteristiche elencate e funziona correttamente .Non è un pedale economico per cui la presa 9volt l’avrei data in dotazione .

Seems to respond more to my passive bass than the active bass.
This is the only autowah pedal that I've owned or tried, therefore I don't have a any real reference to comment over. That being said; It doesn't seem to enjoy life under my active bass (2018 Ibanez Sr300e) as it is much more responsive to my passive P-Bass with Seymour Duncan pickups. I don't know of this a impedance, bass frequency/EQ issue or a signal level issue. If you have an active bass then I would recommend at first trying this out in person with your bass before deciding to buy. I settled on putting spare volume/eq pedal before this in the chain.
