Jet Fighters of the U. S. Navy and Marine Corps: Part 1: The First Ten Years

Another Excellent Aircraft Reference
This USN and Marine Jet Fighter reference published by Bert Kinzey and Rock Roszak is presented in a similar format to their WWII Carrier Based Aircraft book. Information is thorough, but concise, beginning with the earliest jets and ending with the F11F Tiger, for a total of 15 aircraft in all. Illustrations and photos are detailed, high quality, and in color wherever possible. The entire book is only 113 pages in length, yet is equivalent to having multiple references. A high standard one stop publication for history buffs and model builders.

Bargain given the content and photo coverage
A bargain at $21. Lots of researched information, color photos a few profiles for modelers. Paper isn’t high quality (not semigloss) but am sure what the publisher used it to keep the price low. If you’re interested in the era for jet history I highly recommend it.

Must have Naval history
Excellent history of Naval aviation. I used it to decide which R/C models of Naval fighters to build.

A good USN/USMC early jet introduction
A very good short history of each type and some good quality fairly large photographs do all useful reference. The illustrations are probably the weakest part but a worthwhile publication. I will more than likely buy volume 2 when it becomes available

I feel excited by how fresh the history of aviation is presented in this format.
I have always been a fan of Detail and Scale from many years ago having purchased many of the original titles so seeing the new digital format has been a real shot in the arm with the expanded coverage and information on the subject matter. This e book is a bit of an overview on an era of jets that showed how quickly technology in military aviation changed during a ten year period. I really love what Bert and Rock have done with the reborn series and will definitely be purchasing future titles.
