So I was looking for a set of cutlery I could keep in my bag for lunch at work etc. I chose this because of the additional straw as I've heard that disposable plastic ones won't be sold in the UK soon too. Bamboo is strong, light and apparently hygienic material so when I saw these I thought why not?The idea is good, however I was not particularly impressed by this set. The spoon is very small, perhaps half the depth of a regular teaspoon. It was also slightly rough on the edge. I could probably cope with this but in addition to this where the grain of the wood ends due to the way the spoon interior is carved, it leaves a rough edge that I can't help but think will trap food particles.The straw came with a nice little brush to clean it, but to my surprise no matter how much I use the brush and rinse the straw, dust constantly comes out of the end. Could it be that the interior of the straw is so soft that the brush actually sands dust off every time it is used? I know ingesting a bit of sawdust won't hurt but still it's not really ideal.I'm going to use this now I have it but I would have hoped for a smoother finish on both the interior of the straw and the spoon (ironically the outside of the straw is machined perfectly smooth which proves it could have been done).

Easy to clean and robust

We love this bamboo cutlery set. I bought another set of bamboo cutlery fromEcoSlurps which was similar to this but these have engraved handles and a cute carry case. I use this bamboo cutlery instead of plastic cutlery when visiting subway for my lunch. The bamboo cutlery is quite strong, smooth so no splinters, easy to clean, and the carry case makes it easy to store after use. I love the bamboo straw, I use this when drinking cocktails instead of the compostable paper straws offered at bars which go soggy. It comes with a cleaning brush which is helpful to clean the straw on the inside. I thought this would be a novelty environmentally friendly gift for a friend, but I have used my set daily so far this summer. Overall this is an excellent bamboo cutlery set, would recommend!

I bought this bamboo cutlery set as I needed something lightweight that I could carry with me every day in my handbag so I can avoid having to use plastic cutlery when I'm eating on the go. The cutlery is really cool and sturdy and its all neatly packed away in a fold-away case. I tend to only use the knife and fork so the fact that I got a spoon and straw (with cleaning brush) was a bonus! The bamboo straw is very useful when drinking cans of coke on the go and the straw is very easy to clean. Overall, an excellent bamboo cutlery set would recommend!

Very happy with purchase. Haven't used the straw or chopsticks yet, but the fork and spoon are sturdy and comfortable to use. The fork is especially good with spaghetti.
