Nutramax Laboratories 30 Count Proviable Health Supplement for Cats and Dogs (PROVDC30)

Did research, cat was overgrooming and throwing up almost daily. Thought we would give this a shot at the price point. The only thing we were not sure about was the instructions to open the capsules and sprinkle on his food. Thought the whole point was to get the probiotics to the intestinal track, and was afraid the stomach would negate most of the effects. At any rate, being a medium size cat and a lover of food, after seeing the size of the capsule was very small, we dropped it on top of his wet food in the morning and he scarfed it up without a second thought, has every day since then. So he has not thrown up at all since day one and it's been a couple of weeks it appears he is slowing down on over grooming. Hair seems to be growing back in nicely. Absolutely surprised and happy with the results. It does not give a "maintenance" dosage, so after the first month, we are going to go to every other day to see what happens, then make another decision after we see any effects of that routine. I usually don't write long reviews, but we all love our feline friends and was glad to find something that works. Keep in mind that we give him the whole capsule which he has no problem with. Don't know the results if the product is sprinkled on food, as i mentioned. Will definitely purchase again when/if needed.

My dog has a very sensitive stomach and medication makes it worse. This completely resolved the issue when other, popular strains didn't seem to have an impact. It takes about 4-6 weeks, so you need to be patient, but it's highly tolerated (I open the capsule and sprinkle it on her food). My dog had runny stool for a day or so after starting and it quickly resolved. Now she's regular, her stomach is fine, digestion is great, and the morning vomiting sessions are over. I highly recommend this probiotic.

My dog takes these every day, and they have made a noticeable difference in her digestive health. Her gut issues have improved tremendously since we started using Proviable.We used to get them directly from our vet, but they were much more expensive there. I was so relieved to find the same product on Amazon at a better price. It’s the exact same quality and arrives quickly.Definitely recommend for pets with sensitive stomachs or digestive issues.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:My cat has IBD. She is 16. After a round of tough antibiotics for a UTI she had diarrhea that just wouldn't go away. Fortunately she was drinking enough - but this was recommended to me and after a few days of her taking this, her stools became formed and then back to normal. I sprinkle it directly on her wet food and the taste must be ok because she doesn't hesitate to eat it. I highly recommend this.

I thought these were the same strength as the ones I got from my veterinarian. But these capsules are much smaller, so make sure you look at the strength.

My cat was still having stomach trouble and poor appetite for a couple of weeks after being treated for giardia. It could have been coincidence, but she went right back to normal after getting this probiotic once a day for 2 days.I love that it comes in a capsule. Since she wasn't eating well, sprinkling it on her food wasn't a reliable way to get it in her. I was able to coat this capsule with butter and stick it in the back of her mouth for those first 2 days.Besides the post giardia trouble, she's always had IBS like symptoms, so I've given her a different enzyme probiotic powder with her wet food at night for a long time, which helps a lot, but adding this probiotic to her diet has still noticably improved the firmness and odor of her poops.The capsules that I did open were all loose powder on the inside. I did crack one of the capsule shells when removing it from the package, so just be careful of that.Overall I definitely recommend trying these for appetite, gastrointestinal, and poop issues.
