There seems to be no review controll I decided not to buy this because of some bad reviews untill I realized they were for a totally different item ?

This particular press. With 2 options, to slice or small bits is absolutely great to use. Just recently started using the slice feature. I wish I had found this years ago!!

Are the garlic slices thick or thin?

They are thin but not so thin they burn easily while sautéing. I think they are the perfect thickness. I love this press.
