Solid build , Great sound.
This is a great Keyboard for people starting out or for those with experience. The AIX sound chip in these sound great as most Casio keyboards do. The on board speakers aren't bad but I just wire mine into external speakers as well as use studio headphones. The Keyboard has a metronome and over 600 sounds and rhythms and such no complaints there. You can even connect the Keyboard to your pc or other devices to use with DAW or a piano lesson app which is a awesome bonus if your into digital music creation. Its a solid Build as far as quality and the keys have a nice firm feeling under each press. This is a keyboard I could see someone practicing with and performing with. Hope this helps anyone who is interested.

Great, Realistic sound
I bought my son a Casio keyboard more than 20 years ago for Christmas and was amazed at the fun sound effects alone, and the piano was a decent sound too. He still has it and it works to this day... I always wanted one like it but could talk him out of his, so I decided to shop for a electric piano, I had a couple narrowed down between a $600 Casio or $600 Yamaha... both had great reviews and claims to great sound and ease of use. but I was on a budget and wanted something quick so I bought the ctx700 and figured I would practice and learn this keyboard before spending a few more bucks for a better one. well I am glad I bought the ctx700 first for $180. The sound is incredible! and the price? I would have paid double or more for this keyboard... I think I paid the same $180 bucks 20 years agofor the one I got then and like I said it still is up and running. ok, I have meat hooks for hands but have plaid many instruments before including the piano when I was a kid. I have to get used to the keys but they work decent, I find the more money you spend the better the keys are, other wise they all do about the same sounds and effects. the more buttons the easier, because with less buttons you have to press a button more than once to make your choice...the ctx700 is fairly simple to learn but with some challenges. I look forward to practice and spending time learning the ctx700, my favorite rhythm drum set is the Indian fx. the sounds of the drums and voices are so fun to use , I was a pro in ten minutes playing along with a BALI wood movie, so much fun... I say after reading and comparing for a year and finally could fork over the money to get the ctx700 for a price next to nothing … I say BUY IT!!!

Love this piano!
I know nothing about keyboards. The last piano I played was a real one that my family had when I was a kid. But, I read several glowing reviews of this one and it was recommended over and over again, and the price was right, so I ordered it. It arrived in perfect condition, and even I, who can barely turn my laptop on and off, managed to set it up and get it working. I have no idea what most of the buttons do. I merely wanted a piano. I set it to "grand piano" setting and I love the sound. It sounds exactly like a real piano! I bought the Casio SP-20 Upgraded Piano-Style Sustain Pedal to use with it, and it works fine, too. The keys are responsive and work easily, and the fact that I can use headphones with it is one of the features I love. I disturb no one and no one has to hear my mistakes, or my endless scales and chords practice. If you're someone like me that just wants to play the piano, this keyboard should satisfy you. Maybe someday I'll figure out the buttons. I am very pleased with it.

NICE KEYBOARD
I had a Yamaha Keyboard for years and always buy Yamaha....however this Casio keyboard has alot more features than its Yamaha counterpart of the same price.....sounds really nice......BUT.....COME ON CASIO .....couldn't spend a little more time one the Instruction manual.....and I really dont like the map style fold up....that list the 600 Tones...Rythems...Music Presets Ect......this should have been book form....I spent 2 days putting this info on index cards....it took 50 of them.....That map style listing would never last.... and the other thing is...its not overly loud even at full volume....the speakers on my old Yamaha were bigger than these....2.5 watts....but dispute these slightly irritating things it's still a good deal for the money......

Great Sound and Features For The Money
I wanted a digital piano that I could easily transport. This Casio fit the bill since it weighs in at around 10 pounds and transports nicely if you buy a case that straps to your back. My piano teacher suggested I spend around $500 to $800. Since I was not sure how often I was going to be using it, I opted for this less expensive Casio model. I was pleasantly surprised. The key action is quite good and the number of sounds and special effects and features is impressive. The sound is not as vibrant as my other more expensive digital piano. I did find the 61 keys took a bit of getting used to in that I needed, not having 88 keys, to revise my left hand fingering when I ran out of keys on the lower end. After checking it out I took it over to my piano teacher who was pleased with the purchase and was surprised by the quality for the price. I think this is a great product for either beginner students or someone needing a more portable 2nd digital piano.
