Will this safely work with an 18 volt adapter such as you’d use on the angry Charlie?

Most JHS pedals, including the Angry Charlie, use an internal 9v to 18v converter. I use 9v power on all my JHS pedals. I wouldn’t recommend using an 18v power supply on any JHS pedal, they are built specifically to take 9v and the concert it. You may burn your pedal if you overpower it (I assume, but don’t know). This one is the V3. The V4 has a Remote output on the right side of the pedal (as you look down on the face, from above) that has a red ring around it. That is the connection for the optional Red Remote. Search for "Morning Glory V4" to easily find it.

Does it runs with batteries

It only runs on a 9V DC power supply, which is not included
