Fun way for kids to learn about nouns, verbs, adjectives & adverbs.
Loved these as a kid. So, when our daughter got to the age of learning sentence structure thought it would be a perfect way to entertain her. She loves them. Her whole grade when to a camp a few months back for a week and it was perfect for the bus ride. She loved them so much she gave them out as party favors to her girlfriends that went to her birthday party carefully selecting each one to her friend's personality.

Learning is fun
We use these in our house to help our kids remember parts of speech. They are learning and don't even know it. The whole family has fun doing these together.

Taught my grandson all about adverbs. Mad Libs are a great, screen-free way to spend time

Mad Libs are the BEST for teaching basic parts of speech and having fun ...
I can't wait to try out these Mad Libs on the Word Nerds class I will be teaching for our homeschool co-op in the fall!Mad Libs are the BEST for teaching basic parts of speech and having fun at the same time.Once, on a snow day, the local neighbor boys came over. We started playing Mad Libs and one of them said, "Wait? Is this SCHOOL?""Are you having fun?" I asked him in return."Yes, so it can't possibly be school!" He exclaimed.Mad Libs makes learning fun. Now if I could only figure out how to make Social Studies this fun...

Not as science-y as I wanted, but...
I am using these as small breaks during my science camps. I would have liked a bit more non-crazy playing, but they will do the job. Good fun Mad Lib with an Einstein twist. Every class is going to be different!

Laugh and Learn
If you don't know what Mad Libs is, it's a story that has blanks. Each blank has the part of speech that must be written in to complete the story. The twist is that you ask another person for the words based on the part of speech without them knowing the story. When it's read back, it can be dry, silly, or rolling hilarious. It's a great way to help children to recognize parts of speech, agreement, conjugation, and singular vs plural. I copy the pages while blank and have them do one at different times, or I make them give me all nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc at once. It's new every time.
