Fast, Efficient, Does Not Smoke Much, Great For Grilling
I am enjoying this grill and will continue using it. Finding the prescribed starter gel has been a challenge though I finally loaded up at Walmart. I had been using small pieces of fire starter cubes which cause a huge plume of smoke continuously until they died out. Now that I have switched to the recommended gel fire starter, the grill is essentially smoke free. The grill heats up fast because it operates as a forge with forced air. Unlike the Cobb grill that I also own, the length of time for cooking decreases significantly as does the ability to slowly cook meat. For grilling, this is a beast of a tool that is now my primary daily griller. For slower cooked meals, the Cobb seems to be superior.I am glad I purchased this as a quick grilling system for steaks, hamburgers, hot dogs, bacon, vegetables, chicken, and kabobs. Unlike the Cobb, it does not have a solid griddle for eggs, pancakes or similar food that starts out as a liquid. Still, this is an outstanding steak or hamburger griller. I will be using this for many years.

Perfect for 1 or 2 people. I love mine
This is a very cool little grill that does burgers and steaks awesomely. I sit the charcoal pan on a one burner propane stove for about 5-7 minutes to get it started without using any smelly fluid or gel. Then return the pan to the grill and let the fan do the rest. When the coals are ready I turn the fan speed down and add a couple of small chunks of wood to provide a good smoke. I cooked 2 rather huge t-bones this way and they came out a perfect medium with nice smoke flavor. When I'm done cooking I immediately shut off the fan and lay a heavy Gage piece of sheet metal over the charcoal to snuff it out which usually leaves me about half a pan of coals for next time. You only need 10 briquettes to start and you get to reuse about half so a bag of charcoal will last a very long time. Since the cooking surface is dome shaped it is a little tricky to cook things like sausages and corn on the cob but it can be done. Potatoes cut in half and slathered with butter do very nicely. Be sure to put water in the grease ring because it definitely makes clean up much easier. The non stick coating on cooking surface wipes clean with a paper towel and only occasionally needs the smoke vents brushed out. I even found a round grate that sits nicely inside the grease ring that allows me to use a skillet with this little jewel. It might have been nice if it came with a charcoal snuffer and round grate but it's still a very nice product that I expect to last a good long time. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER.8/6/19 edit.Second summer and I still love this grill. Just made 3-5 inch cheeseburgers (one is in my tummy as I write this). Unfortunately the clip that holds the batteries in broke but that's nothing duct tape can't fix. I'm sure I'll get at least 2 more years of use. It's easy to get apart in case something gets stuck in the fan (I had that happen). Super grill for 1 or 3.

Nice and portable
I've had it for over 2 months by now and I really like how easy it is to get it ready and start grilling. I've used it inside near a window fan and outside at my balcony with absolutely no issues.I purchased the accessory kit and it helped with things that take longer to cook, especially chicken. And it's necessary when it gets windy outside. It allowed me to setup a genghis kahn pan grill which fit perfectly. Turning the fan off putting the lid on shuts off the fire quicky. The kit is not the same quality as the grill but it makes it a more complete package to go outdoors. The grill itself is smokeless if you use quality charcoal (e.g., "Jealous Devil"). Depending on what you're cooking you may want to do it ouside. Certain kinds of meat such as pork and lamb in general, short ribs or anything that holds more fat may generate smoke and release grease in the house. Steaks, chicken, burgers and sausage are totally fine just setting it up by a window fan.As for cleaning, that's one thing I'm happy with. Almost no ash to deal with, the grease pan, grill and gate are easy to clean so not much homework afterwards. It's just like washing your pans. The batteries... they don't last for too long but a powerbank does a pretty good job as a replacement.I recommend this product. It's works as described. I may come back and edit in a few months to talk about its durability.

Great little grill for 2
It's great for 2 adults and possibly a small child. It does have a few parts to contend with. Like a big grill, make sure your coals are hot before setting on the top piece. I would also suggest ordering the accessory kit at the same time, the cover has a thermometer built in, the grill grate allows space for pans and pots, the tong and bbq brush nice. We experimented with the gel, wood shavings, wood chunks and charcoal. All work well. Wood shaving made a little more initial smoke but soon dissipated. The water steams your food to make moist meats and vegetables just right (all the size of my hand). 24 oz of water in a pot takes less than 3 minutes to boil. Meal prep also fast. We used a 9 inch cast iron skillet, which held 5 eggs and ham on the accessory rack. For toast we laid 4 pieces of bread on the sides and turned repeatedly- still got some burnt edges. Like the cast iron pan or baking dish it does season (gets dirty) when cool the top pieces can be wiped off pretty thoroughly and when cold wrapped in something to prevent getting other things messy. I would not suggest trying to scrub because the coating will get scratched and not work proper next use. The cover inside does get stained but this grillerette pro works great. We demonstrated it for many interested passer byes. I'll try to add some of our videos soon.
