Goldsource ST-100 100 Watt Step Down/Up Voltage Converter

I chose this item after reading the reviews. They were spot on. I am so pleased that I did.There is no sound from the transformer when in operation and works well.The service toowas excellent. it arrived well packed and much sooner than I had expected. I would certainlyrecommend this item but always check your requirements as this particular transformer willpower apparatus up to 100 watts.

I've been using this for four years. It still works, is quiet (very slight buzzing when right next to it but hardly noticeable otherwise).Draws about 5.2W (power factor 0.2) without a load connected: so you'll want to turn it off when not using it.

I ordered two of these step down transformers. We recently relocated to the UK and my first test was to use this for my Sous Vide cooker.Both units burned up within 90 seconds. In the photo notice the smoke coming from the housing. Perhaps a single transformer could be defective, but two?

It seems to work. I mean I am not a electrician, so for all I know it isn't doing anything with the voltage, lol. But I think it is working, my stuff isn't getting hot like it did when I only had a standard plug adapter. The reason I didn't give it higher stars is because it had an awful "gas" smell when I first got it. It was really bad. It has faded thankfully, but it gave me headaches. And it also makes an annoying buzz sound. I have found by turning it upside down the buzz has lessened, but I wish it didn't do that.All in all, worth the purchase.

Got it for an American stereo I brought with me to the UK... works great - sturdy, solid, and quiet

worked but very heavy.

I leave this on all day and it works fine. Used for a light bought in Japan

First impressions very good used to power my USA clippers which delivers a close cut and it worked well
