Good alternative/Backup blood test device
I already have a GlucoRx Nexus Blue, co this purchase is to provide an alternative option. The device is handily small and works well (like the Nexus), and represents good value for money

This is a replacement for an identical meter which unfortunately failed the ‘float test’ when it fell down the toilet ! I like the compact nature and ease of use . I use a fastclix finger pricker which I prefer to the one included . Overall a compact and reliable meter which is powered by a single AAA battery which lasts for ages.

In contrast to some currently available meters, this is very compact and easy to carry with you. Blood glucose monitoring is essential in anyone with type 1 diabetes.Even if one is on a hybrid closed loop continuous glucose monitoring and insulin infusion system , it is useful to have a backup available in case one's meter for occasional blood glucose monitoring breaks down .Even in type 2 diabetes it can help to see the effects of different foods have on one's glucose control. HbA1c blood tests can be helpful but are no substitute for capillary blood glucose tests. After decades of experience I would rate this meter highly. Rapid results and easy tracking
