Q: Will this fit the dewalt dwe575sb?

It should fit. It fits a dwe575. I assume the sb stands for safety brake. My saw does not have the safety brake, but I think the base plates of all 575 saws are the same.Gary J

It will fit the 60v circular saws: DCS577 and DCS578.

Q: What is the width and thickness of the dw3278 long portion?

5/8" X 1/8" and just because I measured it; working length 10 1/4", overall length 12"

Q: Since it won't fit my dewalt dc390 (18v cordless), where can i find one that will fit? it's pretty elusive!

I searched that manual and did not find any such part number. Fortunately, however, the April 27, 2015 comment by Uncle Goose in this section contains the necessary information. For convenience, it's repeated below:"I believe this fence is too wide- the proper one should be: Fence Dewalt Part Number 381091-00; Knob Dewalt Part Number 396992-02; Spring Dewalt Part Number 058287-00.Amazon has the fence and the spring but does not seem to have the knobhttp://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss/183-0842258-5030254?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=396992-02"
