Where is this made? Veteran company? Don’t tell me it’s made in China!!

Coletti is a veteran-owned and operated small business based you of Spokane Washington. Our coffee beans are roasted by our friends at City Market Coffee Roasters in Kansas City. Our coffee makers are designed by us in the United States and made by our excellent team in Jiangmen City, China. We hope to move production and/or assembly to the USA one day, but it is not currently financially feasible.

Can the water be heated directly in this press or do I still need another separate container to heat the water?

This is a great question. In this regard, the Boulder functions as all other French Press. Moreover, in order to make the Boulder able to retain heat for 4+ hours we made the bottom double-wall vacuum sealed as well. Our engineers are saying that direct heat might compromise its ability to insulate over time. But because of this question we will put it to the test.

Is it double filtered?

Has two filter screens, not one. I do not get the same amount of gunk as I used too. This is the best I’ve ever had.

Is this 42 oz or 80 oz?

I have the stainless version and it is 42 oz.
