Is the elastic still good after a few washings?

I think so. For me this is the only brand that doesn’t put too much or too little pressure at the calves. It doesn’t leave a mark and is comfortable brand new and even after a few washes. You really have to have that same pair of sock and wash them over and over for them to get loose and even then you’ll make a hole at the bottom before the elastic wears out.

how tight are the cuffs? I want loose cuffs.

Guess it depends on size of your ankle. The cuffs stay up but aren’t “tight” in my experience.
