Transformed my raspberry pi 4
Working great with a raspberry pi 4 to boost storage speed and add plenty of capacity.Having have sd card failures recently, I wanted more resilience in the storage and hope this has helped. Performance is noticeably better and it has not indicated any issues in the few weeks it has been in constant use.Installation directly was tested first and it was a breeze but I actually wanted to move an existing installation from an SD card (containing Noobs) to the SSD which required a bit of manipulation of the boot cmdline and changing the fstab in the main linux partition.Price was reasonable, if not as cheap as some pi specific places were selling, but this came quickly with other essential items (like a drive) all pushed through the letterbox.I may have to upgrade some other pi's now.

Brilliant device for accessing 2.5" drive with speed and ease
What like:* Great design, very minimal and clean* Plug and play functionality, no issues using it on Windows10, Mac, Linux and even on my Android phone* Impressive speeds (see screen shot, numbers dont mean much but felt very fast in use)What I dislike:* nothingUgreen is now of the brands i trust more over others. They have been making great PC devices and ive personally not had any issues with them. This is another one of those bits of tech that for me are invaluable. Plug in a 2.5" SSD and especially with Linux i found the speed to be just as good as when attached to the internal SATA connection.Highly recommend!

Didn't work for my situation
I have a slightly odd setup that required the need for this cable. Part of that setup is a Shield Pro 2019 and it needed external storage so I bought an SSD and hooked it up using this cable. Unfortunately, the SSD would disconnect regularly and rendered it useless for my Shield. It works on my PC but that wasn't what I needed it for! So I ended up going with the Sabrent branded version of this cable and it worked a charm!All in all I appreciate that I tried to use this cable in a less that normal situation so I'm not faulting it for that, thus the 4 star rating and not a 1 star!If you need it for your PC it should work, a Shield Pro 2019 however (in my experience) doesn't work.

Ideal for accessing old HDD
I had an older laptop which was broken, snd wanted to recover my profile /info from the hard drive.This cable is easy to use - simply take old the ok’d drive and plug it I to thus cable ... the other USB end goes into my working laptop .. and hey prestoI was able to use thus cable to boot my laptop from the old drive , and to access files on the old drive.Superb product, well made. Did the job well and saved paying a repair shop.

Works great with the Pi4.
After trying a couple adapters that reviewers said allowed the pi4 to boot from SSD, this is the first that actually works for me.

It does the job
I like the concept and the overall price BUTIt did struggle with some performance drives I tried it with.You would be better off purchasing a drive caddy, see my other reviews for something suitable
