Revlon Illuminance Crème Shadow, Black Magic

I got these at the recommendation of a friend because powder shadows were irritating my eyes. Unfortunately I just can't get used to how little pigmentation these have and they're really not very buildable. They do add a nice sheen to the eyelid which makes it look like your skin but better. They would be great for work I think, or a natural look. They're just not great for going out in my opinion. They do have a nice creamy formula. The box is essentially upside down which surprised me when I first opened it and I dropped it on the floor and none of it came out which was a nice upside over powder formula. I think I'll try the julep pencil next and see if I like it better.

This is a great cream eyeshadow in my favorite palette of colors. I love the slight sparkly quality and the desert sand tones of browns with the additional silver cream shadow. I have loved the "Precious Metals" palette for so many years and buy it over and over again whenever I can find it. LOVE!Overtime the amount of actual products that is in the pallet has changed but most people probably wouldn't have noticed it. And companies do have to increase their costs by either raising a price or lowering the amount of product so I understand. It is still worth it to me and I'm so glad that I found it at a lower price here on Amazon than I would in the drugstore. So thank you for that!The only odd thing about this particular order was the giant box that it was shipped in for such a small container of makeup. It was definitely overkill with the packaging, but hey it got here in one piece and that's all that really matters right?Great product and will order again!

Easy to apply, lasts all day, subtle.

Took a chance on this palette and am very pleased! The colors are very neutral and easy to apply. Can be used alone or as an eyeshadow base.

I've been using this cream eyeshadow for years. Easy to use, priced well, lasts a long time. It's easier for me to use, doesn't get all over my under eyes like powders do. Have repurchased many, many times and will continue to do so.

I have sensitive eyes. I am rarely able to wear make up for long before my eyes start feeling tired and itchy. I have tried multiple brands looking for eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, etc that won't contribute to my needing to take off my make up a couple hours after application. I went from typical store brands to more niche, specialty/high end brands, including 'all natural', and so on to no avail. After continue research, I determined that at least in regards to eye shadow, I should try a cream style, as it is less likely to have particles that will fall off into the eye. I decided to try Revlon, on a whim. Here is my experience so far:--The palette "Not Just Nudes" has four pleasing, natural colors. It leans matte, but isn't dull or flat. Any shimmer is minimal. Absolutely fine for day time. I have dark hair, dark eyes and a fair complexion. The darkest of the four works best for me applied close to lash line as a soft eye liner. The lightest color is surprisingly fantastic as a stand alone color when you want to just brighten up the eye area. It blended in with my skin tone so well that I thought it was going to be an unused shadow, but the brightening aspect has really turned me on for continued use. The second lightest (or next dark) color is a pretty neutral- adds some depth without looking made-up. The third color (or as I will clarify, the next to last in terms of darkest of the bunch), will further add definition, or if you have a skin tone or need/preference for a darker lid. Any of these could be used alone. For layering and blending, they work similarly to powder shadows. I recommend adding in a short, firm brush for application. I have used just my finger for single color application, and that works well enough but not for precise application. The mirror in this pot is spectacular. It is super clear and runs the entire length of the container. Another recommendation is to use a primer, or if your eyes can handle it, dust it with a powder first. Without this, the cream shadows will crease, especially with oily lids. Though a quick swipe of crease area through day will take care of it, and not totally remove color. Other than that, I did not experience any smudging or run off. My lids do not feel like they are wearing eye shadow. My eyes haven't been irritated by this collection, which is the one thing that will keep me from wearing make up or not. This color palette is very close to the one labeled, "Skinlights", which I also purchased and will review. These little crème quads are awesome. Good for a quick one-and-done, or as a base for powder shadow.

I wanted this palette after seeing an online tutorial using it, unfortunately here in the UK we can't get this palette range in the drugstore, so I had to order from here. I was concerned with ordering it online that it could be dried out as I've ordered other cream products on here that have been, but this was not an issue and it was really creamy! The colours are absolutely beautiful, especially the lighter shimmer shade. They have great pigmentation and colour pay off too! It's perfect for creating a natural daytime look, but also for layering up to create a sultry eye look. I find that because I have oiler eyelids I do need to set my eyelids first, but once I've done this they don't budge, I can go 12 hours and they've still stayed put. I've had it for a while now and it's not dried up at all, I've actually hit pan on two of the colours! Will definitely be repurchasing and in other colours too! It has very quickly become my go to palette and perfect for travelling too!

The colours on the screen look a lot darker than in reality. The colours are quite pale whereas I was looking for darker. The container is not user-friendly and is quite difficult to open. Will not buy again.

Eyeshadow lasted all day as per photo. I started using this eyeshadow following recovery from eye surgery as it goes on and comes off easily. You can intensify the colour by layering it you prefer. I have recently ordered another colour palette as I am so pleased with this product.

I received this product within the delivery time and in perfect condition. The product is not as pigmented as the picture shows. The colors are a lot more pale and pastel with shimmer. It is a good product and good quality, it applies well and has a tint of color and is good if you want to apply make up in no time at all and still look glam. I rated this average as I was looking for a cream eye shadow to use as a base that has no shimmer. It's not ideal to use for an eye shadow base for matte eye shadows, however you can use it for a base with shimmery shadows.It is a good product, just not what I was looking for.

Colour seems to melt away on eyelid, so not too impressed by these. Think may need a good eye primer to achieve any staying power. I am older and looking for a sweep of colour for a natural look that doesn't make the eyelid look crepe which powder shadows can do. This isn't it yet.....
