Good value and functional
I needed a new compass for some Arabic tile designs that I have been working on. I still have my old school compass but it is too small and hard to adjust precisely. This compass has a milled wheel that allows you to set the arms precisely and securely, perfect for what I needed. There are cheaper (and more expensive) versions but this is good value and effective.

Stop going around in circles, buy it!
I love a tool that feels well made and performs it's function smoothly. This is such a tool, I just want to pick it up. The arms of this compass make a lovely tactile movement as they come apart and come together. It encompasses what you can get for paying just that bit more. Recommended!

good quality. open and shut with an easy to use wheel
I've purchased compasses before and the quality has been poor and sometimes not fit for purpose. this one is sturdy and accurate. The leads are a bit fiddly to replace but once fitted do a good job

Beautiful and precise
Feels heavy in my hand, sturdy and solid piece of equipment. Draws precise circles. Will not slip or slide on paper. I’m very happy with it.

Great little compass
I've never had a good quality compass before and I'm a hobby graphic designer/artist. I've only ever used those cheap, cast/stamped ones you get in Oxford pencil cases/sets. I saw this one in a sale and thought to get it whilst it was reduced in price and now I'll never go back to those cheap ones. This one feels so much more accurate, so much easier to use, and much much easier to set. It's cast metal, its heavy and hard to move once set (which is a good thing!). I've been using it to draw motorcycle tyres from a side profile which need to be perfect circles.Highly recommend buying this one if you want to upgrade your circle drawing capabilities!

Well made and accurate
Well made in high quality steel with accurate adjustment wheel. The points can be roughly positioned by pulling them. Rotating the wheel gives more precision.

Much better than cheaper options.
If you are upgrading from a cheap compass , you will love using this compass, it feels and operates smoothly . I have no complaints other than it would be nice if the adjustment wheel was also made of metal , it is the only cheap feeling aspect which is a little shame but it has not failed me yet. Also be aware that the compass needle is much sharper than other compasses , which is very good for me so it stays put on the paper but it always pierces through even thick 140gsm paper with one revolution, which doesn't bother me too much as I can always place something underneath, but you should know this beforehand, if it bothers you, it can easily be dulled .Summed up, it is a joy to use, if you enjoy drawing circles, which I do, you might not get similarly excited about math , but you will still like the compass even if you don't like the math.
