I haven’t used it with inks- I recommend reaching out to Golden directly- their customer service is always good and they are very helpful with questions like this about their products- good luck

No, it needs to be applied by brush.

How thick is this product? do you have a viscosity number at room temperture?

About the same consistency as gesso. It spreads easily with a brush and seems to level out quickly. I don't know the viscosity number.
