Clarks Men's Grandin Plain Oxford

I use the shoes to keep a protective shield between my feet and the ground which is often uneven, unclean, and consisting of various textures and materials of both natural and unnatural origins. The shoes also help me attain social acceptance as being barefoot is not agreeable.

I own several Clarks shoes. While they often run a half size smaller than what I wear, I would recommend ordering these in your usual size. The first pair I ordered were very snug across the front of my foot. I replaced them with a half size larger and while they feel much better, they still feel snugger than usual up front given the fact that the length is fine (maybe I'll try some thinner socks). Unfortunately they don't offer a wide version so that would probably help. I suspect they'll open up some as they break in, but these shoes didn't offer that great Clarks fit-out-of-the-box feel that I've grown accustomed to. I really like the clean style, leather quality, and detailed stitching. Amazon replacement was flawless as usual.Update: The shoes have started to open up and feel better as they break in. One other thing to note, the rubber soles of the shoes are VERY squeaky on linoleum/waxed floors. I've been getting a lot of looks, laughs, and comments, as I've now become that character from Seinfeld...

The shoes were delivered, I slipped them on to check the fit and I knew immediately they would be my ‘go to’ shoe. As an engineering manager I spend a lot of time on my feet. Normally, by the end of the day, my dogs are barking, but not in these. I don’t think I could have found a better shoe for the dollar!

I love these shoes. I’ve had a terrible time finding shoes to fit. For years I hated to walk for exercise because of my feet. Last year I had a case of Plantar Fasciitis. Very hard to walk. After this somewhat resolved itself after some exercise. I still couldn’t find shoes in local stores that fit. I was trying anything. Women’s shoe sizes didn’t work... I had a pair of Clark’s 25 years ago but they didn’t fit well. These shoes fit very well, feet don’t hurt and the broke in very fast. Maybe a day...I bought my second pair in a difficult color and their fit is also great.

This is a good shoe, fits me well. Clarks runs their shoes at a half size bigger. Looks well made and the leather upper appears to be as I've known Clarks to be - good quality leather. Lately, some of their products have declined in quality and the leather not as thick or robust as they used to be.

First time I’ve ever bought the Clarks brand shoe before and I see why they have a 5 star rating on here. They are so comfortable! I’m going to be buying Clarks from now on. I have high arches and I don’t even need to add an insole. I did buy a size 10 when I normally wear a 10.5 though.

The appearance of a strange defect in the skin after use for a short period is not worthy of such a large brand

Fit slightly different than the Chukka boot that appears to be same other than the obvious shoe-boot cut. These run slightly narrower. Get a 1/2 size up

Bought this for work.Good quality, looks really nice and is comfy.Out of the box fits well, although each time I wear it I can feel it is becoming a better fit and more comfy. Not unlike a Birks, molds to my feet.

I found the fit to be small but great quality. Returned.

Great shoes but after 4 months the bottom is separating. Bought them in May and it's September now so they have only been worn in dry weather and only worn to the office.
