GiGi Unscented Paraffin Wax for Hand and Feet, Moisturizing Sensitive Skin, Ideal for face and Body, Paraffin Wax Refills, 16 oz

I originally got this for "Finger Crack February" but as an added bonus, it also helps my arthritis.This is spa quality, unlike the cheap $35 warmers, or should I say "burners." The cheap one I had not only took forever to melt, but was too hot to use and not adjustable. The Gigi melts very quickly and is fully adjustable. I put it on high, and the temperature is wonderful. It's big enough to dip my feet as well, wonderful on a cold day.The paraffin is readily available at Sally Beauty, but Amazon's price is better. There are different fragrances, none of which are overpowering or heavily perfumed. The peach paraffin that comes with it is very subtle. I hate sweet or strong smelling anything, so this works.Because this warmer is so easy to use (and feels so good,) it has already paid for itself because I dive in several times a week.The one I ordered arrived broken because of poor packing by Sally Beauty online, however, returning it to the store for an exchange was so easy, I didn't mind. The Customer Service rep even called ahead to make sure they had one they could put aside for me.The Gigi Paraffin Hand & Foot Protectors (plastic bags) are not included, so you may want to pick them up at Sally Beauty (about $8) before your Gigi is delivered. They are all the same size and work for both hands and feet. I reuse the paraffin and protectors because I don't share my warmer with anyone, so they both last longer.I'm glad I got this.

I love the mango scent of my wax. I hadn't ordered in a while and couldn't find the blocks I used to use. This is the closest I could come and it works just as fine.

One significant negative, with everything else 5+ stars. After 32 days of daily home use by one fastideous person no addition parafin wax has been needed to bring back up to maximum level. My email to customer service described what occured in the melt mode. I do not know if I have a defective unit or what occured is simply a protective cycle? I have one other small reservation. Keeping the wax melted without having to wait 2.5 or more, is a tremendous improvement. The draw has almost no effect on the electric bill! The packaging is excellent. Construction superb. The thinking that has gone into a highly affordable unit must have elvolved over the years. The units for sale, I saw had 8 pounds paraffin wax where as the currently shipped unit have six. That is secondary to having a unit with reliable heat control, plenty of room, excellent depth. Fragrance of wax is pleasant and lightweight. The manner of attatching the cover is simple and adequate. Each day before user gets home I change the heat setting from standby to the next heat level. In a matter of minutes the wax is then at an ideal temperature and completely melted. Controls are straight forward and easy to read. The electrical chord is well placed and much better constructed than others. Cord length is adjustable by keeping a portion in the circular slot on the underside. The feet well thought out. The unit design promotes easy lifting. If not as well designed the weight might be an issue to a frail person. If I had had a customer service response my personal opinion would be 5 star+++ overall rating.It is now used for elbow and hands nightly and feet each morning. 06/18/24 update. This item is equally as good as the first year. The only thing that has changed is the user. With the good results it is used less frequently.. The user works with their hands even days a week but hands are always soft. Part of the reason is this excellent parafin bath.

This is a very nice smelling wax, and very soft. It melts fairly quickly, feels good on the skin, and moisturizing. I was able to find it at my local Sally's Beauty for a slightly lower price, but they only had limited stock so it's good to have a source via Amazon to purchase from also. My order from this seller was a positive experience, so wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again. The wax itself is very soft (probably from the additives--I also bought another brand that is just paraffin with no added oils and it is much harder, melted slower, and I didn't care for that one, this one is nicer), so do be careful with drips and odd bits and flakes or you might end up accidentally "waxing" your floor or table tops because it smears more easily than a harder wax might when you try to wipe it up. If it is a pampering experience you're looking for, this Gigi wax will definitely add to that!

I was a little miss lead. I did get what the picture shows to an extent. This is not the digital model like it is stated in the description. This one also does not have a quick melt option. Waxwas added to the machine at approximately 6:30 last night and is still not fully melted at 6 am this morning. So if you are looking for a quick melt machine this is not for you. I bought this one because it is a good brand and came with the wax. The cost of the wax alone is about half the value.
