OTTERBOX Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Case Commuter Series - Retail Packaging - Glacier (White/Gunmetal Grey)

Considering I couldn't find a decent case for my newly purchased note 4 I found this to be listed as in stock and Prime eligible I ordered right away. I do like a case with a built in screen protector and this does not have the built in one but come with a adhesive type protector. Which I don't care for as I always mess em up. Ha ha not the case this time. Get it case? But anyhoo I applied it without one bubble by following the instructions. Case itself is pretty awesome as there for now is limited extreme protection cases available and tho this not as extreme as I would like, s*** this note costs as much as a decent used car back in my days but all in all a nice case for those not wanting to go the defender route. It still renders the phablet sleek and not to bulky. Compared to the Samsung s view for about the same cost its a no brainer as the S view case is all I was able to get for the first week, arrrrggghhh terrible case. Hated it. Peace!, and if you like Otterbox and have a new note 4 this may be for you. For me its just till I can get something with more extreme protection. Plus I plan on having this phone a bit so it will just be part of its wardrobe lol.

I bought this case in 2 colors, the white & the aqua. I used the white for about a year before switching to the aqua, also for a year, & never had any problems, although I never dropped my phone on anything other than grass or carpet.The fit was excellent for my Note 4, the ports were easily accessible, & the buttons pressed perfectly. I liked the color & style.However. I'm giving these cases 2 stars because they failed to do what they claim: protect my phone.Just a couple weeks ago, while standing, I stuck my phone under my arm while trying to close my purse (bad idea) and my phone fell approximately 4 feet, flat on its face, on the sidewalk.Right away I thought, pssshhhhh, my phone will be fine... it's protected by an Otterbox & a high-end tempered glass screen protector!Boy, was I wrong.I picked up the phone & saw 2 hairline cracks on the lower half of my tempered glass. When I pressed the power key, the screen stayed black. The phone rang, but I couldn't use the screen to answer it. That night, I plugged it into the charger & felt the vibration feedback. Phone continued to ring as I received calls.The next day, the phone no longer rang or buzzed. I tried calling it from another phone & nothing. I removed the screen protector & saw some cracks.I'm extremely disappointed that the Otterbox, even backed up by tempered glass, did not protect my phone. When I got a Note 8 to replace my beloved Note 4, I decided I would not be buying another Otterbox case. I read a bunch of reviews & watched a bunch of videos & decided on the Tech21 Evo Check. It's not available on Amazon as far as I know, so I bought the white one from Tech21's website & the black one from BestBuy. I also bought the Whitestone Dome tempered glass (available on Amazon). Hopefully these new cases & screen protector will protect my phone better than those Otterbox Commuters.

This is pretty slick.Cost - 5/5Appearance - 5/5 - Looks pretty nice.Protection - 5/5 (I tend to drop stuff on occasion). This doesn't offer as much protection as the defender, but it also cuts down on the bulk. To me, this is much more comfortable than the Defender, which I used for almost 2 years, and slowly stopped using the belt clip, then the outer cover, then eventually even the whole case. I've yet to break anything on it, so it must be protected. (Also, I use a tempered glass screen protector.)Function 4/5 - Holes are where they should be S-Pen moves freely, nothing obstructed. My only gripe here, is that the port covers are slightly dislodged. I get that things wear over time, but I've had this just under 3 months, and they don't fit perfectly back into place. They go back, just not 100% flush.

Others have provided much more detail. I'll say only that this is a great case. It provides an ideal balance of protection and bulk. It is not ridiculously bulky as some of the "armored" cases, including OtterBox's next model up in protection. But it is vastly more protective than slim cases. My feeling is that this case provides the right level of protection for most users. I've dropped my phone a few times from about 3 feet on to a wood floor; between this case and a glass screen protector - no problem. Now if you think there's a high likelihood that you may drop your phone out of a moving car or it will fall out of your pocket as you work on scaffolding, then get the next model up (which adds more bulk and is overkill for most people).Well designed case. OtterBox has been in this business a long time and it shows.

This is a very nice case and does not make the phone feel extremely bulky. I had the otterbox defender initially and decided it was way too bulky. I had the commuter on my Galaxy S3 for two years and it still looks brand new without a single mark on it. So I got this for my new note 4 and was very happy. I have no doubt it will protect it just as well as it did my S3. The only issue I had was with the included screen protector. I tried my best to line it up evenly on the edges but the case still wanted to push it up. This wasn't a big deal as I had bought some extra screen protectors and they weren't quite as wide and I have had no issues with those lifting up. If you want a nice case that will protect your phone without being too bulky this is it!

Having an OtterBox has been like wrapping my phone in an Abrams tank that is also wrapped in Kevlar and bubble wrap. I saw that some other reviewers still got cracks in their phones, but I've not had any problems (I've had the OtterBox for about a year). I'm very rough on my things! I have a busy lifestyle and my hands are always full - durability is always a must. I have dropped my phone on tile and other hard surfaces many times with nary a scratch. The raised rubber edge on the front absorbs the shock. The case itself has several small scratches and knicks, but those would be on my phone if not for my dear OtterBox. If/'when I upgrade my phone, I will be purchasing a coordinating OtterBox. I've had other cases, but this one has worked the best for me.

the otter box is great looks good on my white note 4. When i was looking at cases i only get otter boxes and its worth it. I am in 11th grade so I am more prone to dropping it but its a great case. Seriously get this one if you have a white note 4 it looks awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

I was pretty happy with this, the screen protector it came with, well we'll see how long it sticks, but the silicone/plastic case fits well and I'm happy with it. Would spend the 20$ again to replace if needed, but even if the plastic breaks, its the silicone that does all of the work anyways.

Case is exactly as described, very happy with it. I have to remove and replace twice a day to replace phone batteries and luckily it is an easy 2 part process. White /gray case looks great with my white Note. Case feels firm and solid, however, does have plastic feel which is not a preference but feel like I have good protection on my phone with the otter box case. Paid reasonable amount would not purchase any case over 30$

The item I received is an authentic Otterbox case and is exactly as depicted in the image. It is really sturdy and I think will do a good job of protecting my phone for the next 2-3 years.
