As far as clear whey proteins go, this ones from Optimum Nutrition has some benefits over ones I've been using from other big names - particularly in the lack of froth they create during mixing which was a massive issue with the MyProtein range. The froth would take so long to go down or would simply fill the shaker up resulting in no way to agitate the powder, which would then clump up. That's absolutely not a problem with this one from ON.The flavour is great too. Not as sweet as others, it tastes just right and it's a flavour I've not had before so not repetitive.So flavour, mixability and quality are spot on - but I am astonished at the price of this stuff. Clear whey has always been randomly very expensive but I can't justify the price I'm seeing of this product considering the tubs are so small. A couple of vitamins and some collagen surely doesn't warrant this kind of price for this volume of powder.

Pretty decent product if you're looking for a convenient mix of whey protein and collagen. Each serving, which is two scoops, has 10g protein from whey isolate and 10g from collagen giving 20g total in 1 serving. For added bonus there's a touch of salt and a good dose of vitamin C and D. Calories are pretty decent too at only 84 per serving... Not quite as good as just noshing on a chicken breast but still OK.The apple and raspberry flavour tasted good, not quite natural but not overly synthetic or sweet and well within my tolerance margin. Very easy to mix in a protein shaker, didn't go lumpy and mixed well. It does leave quite a bit of foam on the top after shaking but this didn't really bother me and didn't really make it messy, difficult to drink or to clean up after.It's currently on offer at £15 per tub, a tub contains only 10 servings. So you're looking at about £1.50 a per serving which is about the same price if you're just having whey isolate, collagen is cheaper per kg if bought on its own so I wouldn't say this represents excellent value but it is convenient if you want both products in one tub, plus the extra vitamins. My only issue is that you're going to go through this quite quick. Ten servings isn't much and especially if you're a bigger person and have more than a standard serving.Didn't have any gastro related issues taking this.

Very tasty and most importantly very light on the stomach. I gave up on the thicker more 'desserty' chocolatey style whey shakes a while ago as they caused bloating and affected my appetite, wrecking my macros.With this clear protein, it just tastes like a flavoured light drink with no real weight on the stomach so its one i tend to have more consistently.Being an isolate it will also have higher levels of protein than alternative types too.You are paying a premium for a fairly small container but it does come with the vitamin and collagen additions so that reflects the price.

Absolutely vile - ok, it probably does what it says on the tin but the taste is nasty, had to ditch it!

Got my order today, ordered the apple and raspberry one as everyone said it was nice, it mixed well with no clumps etc.. but it tastes vile, up to now i’ve managed to drink 2 sips of it.I've only just started drinking stuff like this and was recommended clear way.Does anyone have any other recommendations.
