Collar for 30.9mm
Recently purchased for my new Aventon pace 500.3 I wanted a little more height adjustment on my seat post. I’m 6’2” and thought the suspension system would be a great benefit. The only obstacle during installation was that the collar for the 30.9 mm size does not have a large enough gap to secure the post in the frame. I had read about this on an earlier review. For me I just the collar in a vise and used an angle grinder to make the the gap wider. It works great and I love it.

Great replacement for my old seat post!
I’m 6’-0” and 250 lbs. I purchased this to replace my old seat post that seamed to bottom out with every bump. I like that it’s adjustable, solid build and doesn’t bottom out with every bump. Easy to install, only caveat is that you have to remove it to adjust the spring. I had to remove and adjust it a few times but it’s great once you have it dialed in.

Suspension Seatpost
This seatpost is great for MTB all terrain rides, I was worried that it was going to be too jumpy but it certainly is what I was looking for in fact the suspension spring is so tight and strong that I had to do some adjustment so it can get a little more loose. I speacially like the hight of it, you get a tall post so you can make the proper adjustement to your desired hight.

STAY AWAY! Mine broke off
This seat post failed without warning during a ride. It cause me to fall back onto the rear rack and a serious accident was narrowly avoided. Please check the first two pictures. It wasn't that the suspension spring broke, the aluminum tube at the top of the post broke in half. This should be more than sufficient to deter anyone from purchasing this post. But, for those that think it still might be worth a try, there is more. There were problems from the beginning. I bought this post as new, but was obviously not the first person to use it.Out of the box the post had scratches indicating that someone had tried to force it into a seat tube that was either too narrow or had a large internal burr. (See third picture) It had serious scratches from being twisted out of a too tight tube.I had removed the old seat and post before opening the new box, and so figured it was worth going ahead to at least give this one a try. There was absolutely no suspension. After removing the post it was clear that the previous owner had cranked the suspension adjustment down into the post as tight as possible, and then tightened it more. I couldn't loosen it with a standard Allen wrench. In order to free the adjustment, it was necessary to add a helper to an extended hex wrench. At this point I definitely should have returned the post. Instead, since it was all ready to go, I decided to give it a try. It needed further adjustment, then bad weather came, and in the meantime the return window closed.Spring came. I started riding again about two weeks ago. Still couldn't find the right adjustment or feel much of any suspension at all. Then it just broke. So, even if the seat post had not broken, I still would not recommend it, and I would certainly not recommend the seller. A lot of stuff must get returned and I used to have no problem accepting returned items in new condition. If the seller had bothered to even open the box it would have been obvious that this post was flawed from damages inflicted by the prior user(s). It should never have been resold at full price.I tried to give this post no stars, but that apparently isn't possible. So one star and harsh criticism will have to do.TimPS I just looked back. The invoice for this seat post said it was rated for 440 Ibs. When I click on the order the post now says it is only rated for 300 lbs. It still should have held me, but I wonder if others have also had it break.

Great addition
Bought this for a Mongoose Grit which was bought a fun project to upgrade as I go. It's a great bike stock for the money. The frame is 19" at 700c wheels I felt like it was a good fit for my 33" inseam. I'm 6' and for the most part I could ride the bike comfortably. That said I noticed I needed a little more height than the stock seat post and that's with it maxed out. So with this I bought this and it gave the little extra height and the suspension is a nice bonus. I did add a new saddle cause I had bought two before, and put the other on my mountain bike. With a new saddle I can still tell the suspensions is there and it's pretty nice on the bum. This mostly riding on paved roads but I live in rural usa and our paved roads aren't the most smooth. Overall pretty happy with this purchase.

Good But...
Update: The seller sent me another one at no cost but it doesn't work any better than the first one. The seller did try so I upped the rating from 3 to 4 starts.I bought this for a second bike after getting one for my primary bike. On the primary bike in the 31.6 size it worked great and still does but on my secondary bike in a 30.9 size it doesn't work near as well, even adjusted to the tightest setting. Something to consider if ordering one of these. I don't know if this is a quality control issue or if they only work well in the 31.6 size and larger. Otherwise it's a good spring post.
